Story
Meet Prince – Your Loyal and Adventurous Companion Prince is a stunning 3-year-old Siberian Husky with a heart as big as his beautiful coat. This resilient boy was found as a stray, already neutered and microchipped, but sadly, his owner never came forward. When rescued, Prince’s fur was so severely matted that it required removal under anesthesia, revealing painful sores underneath. Now fully healed, Prince is ready to leave his past behind and find the loving forever home he deserves. True to his breed, Prince is a spirited and adventurous pup who loves to explore. While he enjoys outdoor time, his ability to climb fences means he needs a home with supervised outdoor activities or a family committed to taking him on walks and adventures. He rides like a dream in the car, making him a perfect partner for road trips or weekend getaways. Indoors, Prince is an affectionate and loving companion who adores snuggling up with his people. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, making him a great addition to a home with canine siblings. Though he’s still working on his potty training, Prince is eager to please and will thrive with consistency and patience. If you’re searching for a loyal, playful, and adventurous friend who will shower you with affection, Prince might just be the perfect match. With his resilient spirit and loving nature, he’s ready to embark on a new chapter filled with love, care, and endless adventures. Could Prince be the missing piece of your family? Prince is being fostered in a home in Seguin, TX but can be transported out of state. Adoption fee is $250 in Texas, $550 out of state to cover the health certificate and transport costs. I am currently in a foster home and not at HSNBA, if you are interested in meeting me, please contact the nice folks at HSNBA so they can put you in contact with my foster family to set up a meet & greet. E-mail HSNBA at adoption@hsnba.org, call us at: (830) 629-5287 or stop by and speak with the folks at HSNBA at 3353 Morningside Dr. to get your information sent over to my foster home. My foster family is the best and can give you more information on me.Meet: Love Bug 💓 🐞 This stunning girl is likely a husky mix, told by her different colored eyes. Fully grown at a nice medium size, Love Bug is 6 years old and very mature. This is shown by how calm and confident she is, with a very manageable energy level! On her recent Doggy Day Out to the park, Love Bug did not pull at all on her leash, taking a leisurely stroll along the pond and woods. When other dogs passed by, she didn't mind them and kept to her side of the sidewalk. Her behavior in the car was excellent, and she waited to be let out safely. This was such an easy walk and a great adventure! We also enjoyed some friendly cuddling and head scratches in between. It takes a little bit to come out of her shell, but when she gets to hang out with people, you get to see her shine!Love Bug was originally taken in as a puppy here at HSNBA, and recently found as a stray all the way in Houston. Luckily, the shelter there called us and was able to arrange a transfer back to us 6 years later. Part of our commitment to these animals includes lifetimes efforts to their well-being, so while we don't know much about the past 6 years of her life, we do know that she has a great temperament would be happy to find a forever home this time! Plus, there are cute puppy pictures of her, which can be rare for a rescue pet! 😉HSNBA lists all animals online from the moment of intake, and our listings are updated automatically every midnight. Story
We adopted Rocky a little over a year ago. He loves to snuggle and cuddle. He loves chest scratches and belly rubs. He loves long walks and car rides. He wants to be near his people. He likes to stretch out indoors when it’s hot outside, and lounge on the back porch when the weather is cool. He likes to sneak on the sofa in the middle of the night. (He thinks we have no idea 😂) Rehoming due to a childs allergy and respiratory issues. He must be the only pet in the house. He is not fond of other dogs and can be a bit reactive around them. He has improved a lot over the past year- just a little patience and caution required. He is AMAZING with people of all ages.

Story
Lacy found herself at SMRAS through no fault of her own - her previous owner was moving and facing some hardships and could not take her with them. Lacy is good on a leash and knows some basic commands. She absolutely loves being pet - belly rubs are her favorite! Lacy is heartworm positive but the shelter will cover her treatment once she`s in a home!
