Story
Dolly is 7 years old and is a sweet and incredibly energetic girl. She is crate trained and potty trained. She can sit and shake and loves to run and talk! She rarely if ever barks and is great with families and kids. She has never been aggressive or bitten anyone. We are now a blended family with a grade schooler, and a disabled teenager. Our life is busy and we work outside of the home, sadly we have been unable to give sweet Dolly the attention, and exercise she deserves as a Husky, after our oldest son who took care of her the majority of the time went to college. Dolly needs a family who can give her daily walks, and lots of play. She requires a lot of space to run and play, and cannot be left home all day alone. We are asking a small re-homing fee just to make sure she goes to someone who can continue to provide her the care she deserves, as she is a good girl and this has been a very hard decision for the family.

At 3 and a half years old, Striker has already overcome tremendous challenges, and yes his spirit shines brighter than ever. Striker may have faced a tough life before arriving at Austin Pets Alive, but each day here is a new adventure that he embraces with joy. Striker was left tied up by his owner outside without any food or water and in all kinds of weather for most of his life, but despite his past, Striker has not lost his faith in humanity and remains a kind, loving soul who never meets a stranger. Striker was born with what we think is a mild cerebellar hypoplasia, causing some wobbliness, but that certainly doesn't slow him down. He loves going on walks and running around with his dog friends. We are all in awe of this incredible dog who puts a smile on the face of every person he meets. His gentle nature and playful spirit are truly inspiring, and he deserves a forever home that will cherish him. If you're looking for a loyal friend who will fill your life with love and laughter, come meet Striker! Jenna is a 2.5 year old dog we adopted from another family to try to give our daughter a dog for her birthday. Now, we are moving to Tennessee and can’t take Jenna with us! (We have also learned that our family isn’t ready for a dog!) Jenna is very very sweet and is so loving!! She loves hugs and belly rubs. She wants to cuddle and play. Jenna is house-trained and knows a few commands. She would really benefit from more training because she is so smart! Very very smart. Our only challenge has been finding Jenna eating our cat’s food. But we really hope to find another family (who loves dogs and can train her!) to take care of Jenna before we move.
