Story
Meet Milo!Milo is a 45 pound, 5 year old Husky mix who will immediately steal your heart. He came to us from a shelter, where he was dropped off by his previous owner for developing glaucoma, which ultimately led to blindness. Milo’s disability doesn’t slow him down one bit! Most who come into contact with him don’t even notice he can’t see until it’s told to them. Calm-natured and gentle-mannered, this sweet boy makes friends easily with all humans. Milo is very well behaved, hardly ever barking and never engages in destructive behaviors. Milo will do just about anything for a good treat, and is very smart, making him easy to teach new tricks. He’ll be your loyal pal forever if given his favorites - peanut butter or beef marrow bones! Milo is low-energy, but does love to play with his human every now and again. Long walks and learning new tricks are among some of his favorite activities. Milo would do well in both a house or apartment building, as he is low-energy and rarely barks. He does love to spend time outdoors, so a fenced yard or balcony is a plus! Milo loves to be around his people, and enjoys all the snuggles he can get! However, Milo does just fine being left alone if needed and will happily greet you when you return. Milo is crate and house trained, and has not had an accident since being in our care. Though he is crate trained, his foster does not often crate him as he is calm and not destructive. Milo would need slow and proper introductions to other dogs in the home. He would need a friend who is low-medium energy and is patient with him, given his disability, which sometimes leads to him bumping into others/objects.Milo’s glaucoma requires daily eyedrops, which are necessary to prevent pain and disease progression. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Hi! I’m Buffy. I’m on the smaller side of medium size and I’m almost one year old! If you’re looking for the cutest little furry Valentine around, look no further! Here I am!I was adopted but recently had to come back to Saving Hope due to changes in my adopter’s life, and through no fault of my own. Now, I’m excited to find my forever home!My foster family says that I’m an exceptionally good girl. I sleep well in my crate at night, and I know to go stand by the door when I need to go outside to potty. I’ve adjusted to my foster home routine quickly, and they think I’m one of the sweetest, happiest, and funniest dogs they’ve seen. I admit that I’m a little snuggle bug and love to cuddle up with my foster family on the couch for belly rubs and naps. They talk all the time about how cute I am, especially the way my ears bend backwards at the top. Even strangers comment on how cute my ears are. Speaking of strangers, I love to meet people and never bark at them. I’m not much of a barker in general.I have a furry foster brother who is bigger than me, but once we were introduced, and we each set our boundaries, we’ve been great. We love to play outside together, whether we’re playing tug-o-war, chasing each other around the yard, or just soaking up the sun. My foster parents think I’d be fine in a home by myself too because if I have toys to play with, I’m a pretty content girl. I love going on walks and do well on a leash. I can get excited when I see new things or sniff new smells, but I do try to remember my walking manners. I still have puppy energy, so it’s important to have toys for me to play with and that I can chew on. I’m not sure how I’d do with cats but there’s one that frequently wanders into the yard and while I’ve never approached her, I haven’t chased her off either. If you’re looking for a cute little fuzzy family member, here I am! I’d love to be your Valentine this year.To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. Story
Meet Dundee! The playful, energetic, and lovable 5 month old Husky mix! Dundee is a happy and active young pup who lives for running around and having fun. With plenty of energy to burn, he’s always up for adventure, but he also knows how to relax and stay calm, especially in his kennel. He’s growing fast and has outgrown his small puppy days—definitely no Jack Russell Terrier size anymore! Like most young pups, Dundee is still working on his chewing habits, but with the right guidance, he’s sure to shine.Dundee would be an amazing companion for an active family looking for a playful and loving pup to join their pack! Story
Meet Sam!Sam is an almost two and half old male Husky and an absolute sweetheart who wants nothing more than to snuggle up with you. Whether he`s curled up at your feet while you work from home or lounging by your side on the couch, he`s happiest when he`s close to his people. While he enjoys playtime, Sam can quickly switch gears and become the ultimate lazy cuddle buddy. He loves people and gets along well with other dogs, making him a great fit for a home with a canine companion—or as the sole focus of your love and attention.Unlike most huskies, Sam isn’t overly vocal and definitely isn’t a howler. He’s also a fantastic sleeper, whether in his kennel or out, and will snooze peacefully through the night.Sam is crate trained and house trained. He will need a cat-free home, and due to his boundless love and enthusiasm, he may not be the best fit for a household with small children. If you`re looking for a loving, loyal companion who will shower you with affection, Sam might just be your perfect match! To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. Story
Meet Tashi!Tashi is a sweet, energetic, and loving medium-sized pup (about 45 lbs) looking for a forever home where she can thrive. She would do best with a backyard to run and play in and would love having another dog to keep her company when her humans aren’t around. She’s crate-trained, sleeps through the night without any issues, and already knows basic commands like “sit.” With a few tasty treats, she’s eager to learn even more! Tashi is great at responding to her name and reliably comes when called. She’ll let you know when she needs to go outside but can still have minor accidents if she gets scared—especially if someone raises their voice.Out in public, Tashi is a social butterfly! She’s friendly with people and curious about other dogs but doesn’t bark or react negatively. However, due to past experiences, she would do best in a home without young children. Her first owner had little kids who played too rough, leaving her a bit wary in that environment. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and playful companion, Tashi could be the perfect addition to your family! Could she be your new best friend? To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step.
