Story
We got storm 7 years ago in California. She has been in Texas for 5 years. Due to my grandfather sickness we are unable to care for her. We are going back and forth to Michigan twice a month 4-5 days each visit. Dog sitting is getting o expensive to afford. Storm does amazing with kids. We have 4 kids under the age of 10.

Story
Rescue Rocky from a previous owner who did not have time for him. I recently rescued him from August 2024. Rocky is a mellow dog and gets along my other small dogs and kids. Rocky is trained to use a doggie door to go use the bathroom. Rocky listens to demands of sit, shake hands and goes to the crate with treats. He loves to go out for walks but if he sees other dogs he will bark to socialize and excitement. Rocky loves to digs holes when he gets bored and loves to chew his bones and socks outside. He loves belly rubs, hugs and kisses. When he’s in trouble he will throw himself on the floor that he would want you to carry him to his crate. I need to rehome Rocky because of financial difficulties to support my family. Rocky is a amazing dog to have but with the situation on caring for three other small dogs is harder than I thought. I want to have a loving and forever home for Rocky to feel safe and have a happy family to love.

Story
To say that Hanna adores human attention would be an understatement. This fluffy pup immediately mellows out whenever she receives affection from anyone – be it strangers, children, or the elderly. But don't be fooled by her antics. The moment it's time to return to her kennel, she unleashes the husky's trademark howl, serenading the shelter with her rendition of the "shelter dog blues." Her vocal prowess echoes throughout the center, leaving no doubt about her desire for companionship. In 2020, Hanna found her home through OHAR, where she lived alongside another dog and children. However, due to unforeseen hardships, her family faced tough decisions and returned her to OHAR. This turn of events has left Hanna heartbroken, yet she remains resilient, determined to find her fairy tale ending once again. Could you be the one to offer Hanna the love and stability she so deserves?Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home. At the end of the week, you finalize the adoption and the pet is officially part of your family! Learn more at ohar.org/adoptionprocess
