Story
Hi! My name is Lyla & I`m looking for my forever home! I had an owner that my microchip is registered to, but when the staff members tried to contact the owner attached to my file they never responded to any of their attempts. I`m a very sweet girl & I love getting attention from the staff members & playing with the other dogs at the shelter. I can be a little bossy & energetic, but I do really well with male dogs - I`d love to have a brother!!My last owners spoke Spanish & we`re working on commands in English, so I`d do well in a Bilingual or Spanish-speaking household. My ideal forever-home would have a nice yard for me to run around in, another dog-friend, and owners who are patient with me as I learn the ropes. If you`re interested, please come down to the shelter to meet me & let me prove how good of a girl I am!

Story
Hello friends, my name is Buddy & I`m the missing piece in your life! I`m a mature, calm fellow who is looking for my forever home; I`ve already had at least 2 known owners so I`m hoping that the next home I enter will be my last!I enjoy exploring the play yard & interacting with the other dogs but I`m not really inclined to run & jump around like some of the younger dogs in my play group. Getting pets & affection from the girls in the morning is probably my favorite part of the day, I like laying my head on their chest as they pet me & listening to them as they talk. I`m not doing too well in the shelter environment & would love to get back to being a family-man. If you`re looking for a calm, sweet guy who loves to lend a listening ear please come down to the shelter to meet me & prepare to fall in love!

Story
To say that Hanna adores human attention would be an understatement. This fluffy pup immediately mellows out whenever she receives affection from anyone – be it strangers, children, or the elderly. But don't be fooled by her antics. The moment it's time to return to her kennel, she unleashes the husky's trademark howl, serenading the shelter with her rendition of the "shelter dog blues." Her vocal prowess echoes throughout the center, leaving no doubt about her desire for companionship. In 2020, Hanna found her home through OHAR, where she lived alongside another dog and children. However, due to unforeseen hardships, her family faced tough decisions and returned her to OHAR. This turn of events has left Hanna heartbroken, yet she remains resilient, determined to find her fairy tale ending once again. Could you be the one to offer Hanna the love and stability she so deserves?Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home. At the end of the week, you finalize the adoption and the pet is officially part of your family! Learn more at ohar.org/adoptionprocess
