Amos got to us after he had to go from the animal shelter to the vet clinic for an amputation. We don’t know why his front left leg was so damaged. We do know that the night of his surgery he managed to rip out all of his stitches and laid his head on the vet tech’s shoulder while getting wrapped for repair surgery the next morning.He is not quite a typical Husky as he’s very laid back. He doesn’t use his voice near as often as most Huskies although he does have a little growl in his conversational voice which isn’t nearly as off-putting as it might sound.Amos has great house manners, does fine on a leash, and would be a perfect go-everywhere boy for his family. He adores his humans and is very loving and outgoing. He is a social boy and meeting new people and animals is easy for him. He’s fine with cats and seems to ignore the livestock kids at his foster home.He is very engaged with his humans and loves to be as close when he doesn’t want to spend time watching the world go by from his perch on the porch. He will often ask to sleep outside but is willing to do what his human feels is best.Amos is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and current with flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Rescued from the Forney Animal Shelter on March 30, 2025, she’s been making progress toward overcoming her challenges and is now ready to find the right home to help her thrive. Phoenix does need to be crated when left home alone and prefers to be with people. She has been kept primarily in a crate during the day, and although she’s made slow but steady progress, she’ll need continued patience, structure, and positive reinforcement training. Phoenix is great with children and would do well in a home where someone is around more often than not. A home with experienced, understanding pet parents willing to invest in her confidence and comfort is ideal. What Phoenix Needs: A calm, loving home with consistency Someone with experience or willingness to work through separation anxiety A home where she’s not left alone for long periods A secure space where she feels safe and loved Phoenix is in good health, and is current on heartworm prevention. Apollo was adopted as a puppy from a breeder. Over time the family dynamic has changed and the family no longer has the time to give him the care and attention he deserves.
