He currently shares his foster home with lots of dogs and some kitties and gets along with everyone famously. HENRY has a huge supply of kisses which he happily shares with humans and pups alike. He has truly never met a stranger and absolutely thrives off of making those around him happy. This boy is full of character and his goofy self will bring so much light into his new family’s life. One of his favorite things in the world is playing, whether it’s with his foster sister or entertaining himself. HENRY would make an excellent partner for all of life’s adventures. All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Pet Express Transport (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com) for our Nashville, Knoxville and New England adoptions. For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport. Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff. Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. Apollo is eight months old. he has been raised with multiple cats and a child of which he adores both and has never harmed either. he learned quickly to use the bathroom outdoors and will not willingly use it indoors unless he has no other choice. he loves strangers, other dogs, long walks, and playing. my only complaint with him is that if he is let off leash he will ignore you and not return until he has decided to come home or you chase him down somehow. the reasoning for myself to rehome Apollo is the fact that I am 19 and trying to advance my education and career so I do not have the time to give him everything that he needs. I would hope that whoever chooses to adopt him would care for him as he deserves. I do not want him to be adopted by someone who doesn't have the time for him, nor someone who just wants to show him off he is clever and realizes when he isn't being treated fairly.

Hi, I'm Echo!! I'm a strikingly handsome guy, about 6 years old and truth be told I do have a bit of a silly side with my close friends. I'm even game for a bit of a pool party on a hot summer day! I've been here at the Ark for few years now because you see I do have a few peculiarities that make it a bit challenging to find the perfect home for me. I have boundaries so I tend to guard things and I take a while to get to know and trust new people. Even though I can be a bit of a handful, I'm not mean natured and just love a good head scratch and belly rub from my friends! The perfect home for me would be one that I could have it all to myself and my adult people, no kids or cats please! As much as I do love the Ark and how great they care for me, I really do want to have a home of my own. I just need a family that is experienced with special dogs like me and I promise I'll work hard to prove just how fabulous I am!! *The Adoption fee for Echo is reduced/covered by adoption sponsorship donations When I arrived at the Ark, we played the 'guess what breed I am' game, the most guesses were that I'm a Husky / Catahoula mix, but I know that's just a guess - I know what I am, I'm a Purebred Mix-Breed!! Meet Leo! Leo has been DNA tested and we know that he is a Siberian Husky/Great Pyrenees/Mountain Cur mix. He has a beautiful soft golden coat with golden brown eyes. Leo is a very sweet boy who loves to be with his humans, but he is leery of men until he gets to know them. He does overcome this fear with the help of treats and patience. Next thing you know, he will be your best friend. At the shelter, Leo was known as the play yard rockstar because he gets along so well with other dogs. He knows several commands, such as "sit, "down, "shake, and "leave it". Leo will need a 6 foot privacy fenced backyard and a playful canine companion in his new home. Leo can't wait to meet you!
