Story
Named for his constant grin and tail wags, Felix is a super sweet boy who looks just like a Dingo; he could have some husky in him. The vet thinks he is about 1 year old. He weighs 50 lbs. He is now neutered, vaccinated, and house trained, has learned his new name, and the word “No.” He responds to whistling and “come” with moderate consistency. He is very friendly to other dogs and humans of all ages. He does not give kisses, ever, but loves to get hugs, snuggles, and scritches. He LOVES to run and play. He has a lot of energy (and endurance!), but isn’t hyperactive. He does well on a leash when he is walked solo, but if other dogs are around he just tries to run to greet and play with them. He especially loves rough-and-tumble wrestling, chase, and tug. He is totally happy being at the bottom of the pecking order here at my house and tolerates being herded and bossed around by one of my dogs, Raza. Surprisingly, he is very tolerant of her putting him in his place! If he isn’t playing with one or more of the other pups, he likes to get pets, nap, and keep me company. He is heartworm positive and will be treated soon. His adoption fee is $200 After reading this pet's info, if you are still interested in adopting, please fill out the online adoption application found at realgooddogrescue.com The ideal home for this Real Good Dog will have a secure fenced yard. Meet Jack Fostering in Tennessee Here's the link to our adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/201317338010137 This handsome devil is Jack. Jack’s person was deployed, and no one would take his dogs and care for them while deployed. We were asked if we could take them and find them new homes. We said of course. Jack is a happy guy that loves life. He still likes to run in the yard and have a good time. He does like to play fetch, but sometimes choose to keep his toy instead of bringing it back. He is a lover and loves all the attention he can get. He doesn’t meet a stranger; our volunteer was able to get great pictures after just having met him. Jack is crate and house trained and has pretty good house manners. If you would like to add this older gentleman to your family, use the link below to apply. Has not been tested with infants and toddlers. ADOPTION INFORMATION: We are a foster-based animal rescue and we thank you for your interest in one of our animals. Our fosters and adoption coordinators are the backbone of what we do. Our fosters work tirelessly to integrate our rescue animals into their home, so that we can provide as much information to potential adopters as possible. In addition, our coordinators offer as much information regarding the medical and behavioral and personality characteristics as is known to our organization. Without them, and our extremely generous donors, we would not be able to save as many animals as we do every day. With each adoption, we operate a Pay It Forward program, whenever possible, to help other animals in our rescue and future animals in need. If you are interested in one of our animals, please complete an application. The application link can be found on our Petfinder homepage under the picture. You may also find our application on our website at www.petmatchmakerrescue.com under the Adopt page. If they are listed on our website, their adoptions have not been finalized yet. That does not mean that we have not received several applications, already. Please complete an application if you are interested and we will keep you apprised of their current status. We are all volunteers that work full-time jobs, so please be patient with us. We will get back with you as quickly as possible. Story
Troop came to me and my daughter about a year ago. He’s great with her (she’s one) and is great with other dogs. He spends time at doggie day care and does really well. I spent $2,000 having him trained on an Ecoller and he does great with that! Sadly he is just too expensive for me to keep. Only bad habit is being mouthy- this is because he was never trained not to be as a puppy. He’s doing much better with that since on the Ecoller.

Story
NOKI IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN ! Husky lovers meet Noki! He is a very energetic, extremely happy, heartworm negative boy who is looking for his forever home. Last October, a good Samaritan was notified of a dog that had been dumped on a backroad and needed help. This good Samaritan took him in to begin his new chapter of his life. He went straight to the bath (which he did amazing in). It's very obvious whoever had him before was not kind to him like his new foster. He wouldn't walk into a room if he saw a man standing there. He didn't seem to know much about being inside or even how to be a dog for that matter. His foster would give him a bone, and he would just rub his face on it; she would turn on the tv, and he would run and hide behind the couch. He wanted so bad to be around people, but he didn't understand how to go about it. Fast forward to 6 months later, Noki has completely transformed! Yes, he still has some ways to go, but he is a totally different dog than the one found dumped on a backroad last year. He has never met a dog that he didn't like. He isn't picky either about his dog friends; they can be bigger or smaller as long as they want to play with him! He's still learning how to walk politely on the leash; he tends to pull out of pure excitement of seeing all the new sites! We are still working on crate training as well. Being a husky, he is very vocal at times, especially if he doesn't agree with the situation. He goes in the crate politely, and he will quiet down after a bit, but he will sure let you know he feels about it for a bit. All of that said, as soon as he sees you coming to get him, he gets so excited waiting for his next adventure with you. Please consider opening up your home to this goofy, loving, and resilient dog who is just searching for a place to finally call home.  Noki is completely vetted and ready for adoption! He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. He is heartworm negative and current on prevention. His local adoption fee is $225.   If you have any questions, please email us at: newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com You can apply to adopt Noki here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET! Story
*Meet Loki: The Senior Boy with a Big Heart and an Even Bigger Love for Breakfast!* ***COURTESY POST**** Loki is a calm, cool, and collected senior husky who knows how to enjoy the finer things in life-like a good cuddle and an uninterrupted nap, even during the loudest thunderstorms or seven straight days of professional-grade fireworks from your neighbors next-door. He's a pro at staying zen. When it comes to food, Loki is a bit of a foodie! His favorites include chicken, liver, sweet potatoes, peaches, rice, green beans, peas, peanut butter, bone broth, and yogurt. Sometimes he'll humor me with a frozen blueberry. He knows what he likes, and who can blame him? Around the house, Loki is the definition of a well-mannered gentleman. He's never torn up anything and just needs a little initial guidance on the leash for his bathroom breaks. Inside, he roams freely and enjoys hanging out with my girl, Betty. They get along well both indoors and outdoors. I'm still working on getting them to play at full throttle, but Betty tends to get a bit concerned when Loki gets too bouncy and vocal. Poor guy just wants a buddy who understands his playful energy. If you have a dog around Betty's size (45-55lbs, Staffordshire Terrier mix), and they tolerate playful energy, they'd likely be a good match! *Loki's Morning Routine:* Loki may be 10 years old, but when it's breakfast time, he's got the energy of a puppy! His hops, skips, and gentle jumps are a daily highlight. He's very respectful-keeping just enough distance that his little toe taps barely graze you as you walk to the kitchen. *Walks Are Life:* The next big event in Loki's day? Walks! Grab a leash, and he knows it's about to go down. He'll circle and pounce with excitement at the door. But he's a gentleman about it-he knows that no walk starts until he comes to me and waits patiently to be hooked up. He might tug a bit during the first 10-15 minutes, but after that, it's smooth sailing by your side. *A Few Fun Facts:* Loki has some typical husky traits. If there's an opportunity for escape-a cracked door or an open gate-he's not going to say no to a little adventure. That said, he's never tried to dig, squeeze, or jump out of my backyard. He just does his business and waits to come back inside. As I type this, Loki is laying next to me on the couch, enjoying some ear, neck, chest, and back scratches-his favorite things! He's a sweet, loving boy who just needs a family that will give him the love and patience he deserves after everything he's been through. If you think Loki could be a great fit for your family, and your family could be a great fit for him, please fill out the application below. This sweet senior husky deserves a loving, dedicated, and stable home.

Story
Bugg just turned 3 on July 18, 2024, and he’s a sweet, loving dog who weighs about 50 pounds. We’ve had him since he was 6 weeks old, and he’s always been a big part of our family. Bugg has had all his yearly shots, including his first-year booster, and recently I purchased the 7-in-1 vaccine at Tractor Supply and administered it at home. This vaccine covers Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus, and Leptospirosis, so he’s well-protected. He’s extremely loyal and a great protector with a serious bark—no one would dare to walk to my fence! Despite his protective nature, he’s very loving and gets along well with my three other male dogs. Bugg has been treated like part of the family, so he’s a house dog, but I do put him outside at night so he can protect the yard. However, I make sure not to put him outside when it’s cold or very hot. Unfortunately, we’re moving and can’t take him with us. We really don’t want to take him to the shelter and surrender him. Story
Teddy M is now around two years old and weighs 30 lbs. He was on the euthanasia list at MAS when a foster offered to take him. He has now been in foster care since Sept 2023. Teddy is such a nice looking dog and is so good to entertain himself with a toy. He has not been around other dogs much and really needs a foster home who can give him more experience around other dogs. He gets really excited like he would like to play but is not sure how to approach.
