Story
Apollo is eight months old. he has been raised with multiple cats and a child of which he adores both and has never harmed either. he learned quickly to use the bathroom outdoors and will not willingly use it indoors unless he has no other choice. he loves strangers, other dogs, long walks, and playing. my only complaint with him is that if he is let off leash he will ignore you and not return until he has decided to come home or you chase him down somehow. the reasoning for myself to rehome Apollo is the fact that I am 19 and trying to advance my education and career so I do not have the time to give him everything that he needs. I would hope that whoever chooses to adopt him would care for him as he deserves. I do not want him to be adopted by someone who doesn't have the time for him, nor someone who just wants to show him off he is clever and realizes when he isn't being treated fairly.

Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Shenzi is a gorgeous 2.5-year-old Siberian Husky/American Eskimo mix weighing 34 pounds—the perfect medium size for cuddles and adventures alike! With her friendly, affectionate nature, Shenzi adores people and loves playing with other dogs. Whether she’s chasing a ball, wrestling with a furry friend, or snuggling on the couch, Shenzi knows how to bring joy wherever she goes. One of Shenzi’s most endearing quirks is her playful husky howl when she’s ready for attention or a game of tug with her favorite rope toy. She’s housetrained, uses a dog door, and knows basic commands like “sit,” “come,” and “paw.” Crate-trained and well-mannered, she’ll happily nap in an open crate and sleeps peacefully through the night. Shenzi thrives on affection and being close to her person but also enjoys playing chase in the yard or on trail walks. She meets new dogs and visitors with a wagging tail and even gets older dogs to join in her games! Shenzi is great in the car, making her the perfect companion for errands or outings to the dog park. This beautiful girl would do best in a home with a fenced yard, another playful dog, and someone who’s home often to keep her company. Shenzi is more than ready to shower her new family with love, laughter, and loyalty. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and personable companion, Shenzi can’t wait to meet you!  Interested in adopting? Story
This puppy is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $250 if picked up in TN, $325 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Lola is an 11-month-old Husky mix with stunning eyes and a heart full of love. At 45 pounds, she’s the perfect blend of affectionate, playful, and energetic. This cautious yet friendly girl is looking for a forever home that understands her unique Husky spirit and can give her the active lifestyle she craves. Lola’s favorite activities include zooming around the yard (her zoomies are absolutely adorable!), chasing and being chased by other dogs, splashing in water, chewing on toys, and going for walks. She loves to playfully lick other dogs' faces to encourage them to join in the fun, and she’s even friendly with cats and enjoys watching chickens! Reserved but kind with kids and strangers, Lola quickly warms up to new friends. She’s housetrained, well-behaved in her crate, and learning new commands every day. Like a true Husky, Lola can be stubborn and independent, so she’ll thrive in a home with experienced Husky owners who can guide her and provide plenty of attention and outlets for her energy. A fenced yard and another playful dog would make her happiest!  Lola’s sweet, affectionate, and playful personality makes her an incredible companion. If you’re ready for a loyal, fun-loving, and slightly mischievous partner in adventure, Lola is ready to join your family and fill your home with joy!  Interested in adopting? All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Pet Express Transport (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com) for our Nashville, Knoxville and New England adoptions. For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport. Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff. Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding. Please LIKE Woof River on Facebook!
