Story
Luna is a pretty girl looking for a forever home. She is a two-year-old beautiful husky. She is very sweet but a little on the timid side until she gets warmed up to you. She is spayed and current on all shots and preventions. I would prefer she go to a cooler northern environment. Luna gets along very well with others, she has the pack mentality. She is very loyal and loving. She loves to run and play with the others in her pack. She has not shown aggressive behaviors. She would do well with older children and other pets. Not so sure about cats. She is very, very smart. I would recommend her as a good family pet. Saved from a high-kill shelter by another rescue only to wind up in another shelter when that rescue left her in boarding in an Alabama warehouse for an extensive period. Please reach out if you are interested in this sweet girl!

Story
Sienna is in the process of being adopted at this time. Beautiful Sienna is a Siberian Husky mix, born 7/1/24 and we expect she will be medium / large when full grown. We are unsure of what she is mixed with. She is current on vaccinations, spayed, chipped and on preventions. A physical 6 ft min fence is required, if you know the breed, you know why. We are looking for a family who is experienced with the breed. We know she is gorgeous, all huskies are, but they are not a breed for everyone. Here are some fun husky facts to help you consider if you are the right family for this breed of dog. They are a high-energy breed that needs plenty of exercise, so they are not a good fit for everyone. However, if you are looking for a friendly, intelligent, and outgoing dog, a Siberian Husky may be the perfect breed. Here are some additional things to keep in mind if you are considering getting a Siberian Husky: They are escape artists, so you must have a secure yard or ensure they are always on a leash when outside. They are vocal dogs, and they will often howl. They are not hypoallergenic, so they will shed a lot and will require grooming several times a year. If you are willing to put in the time and effort, a Siberian Husky can be a wonderful companion. They are loyal, loving, and always up for an adventure. Sienna will be ready to join her forever family the first week of October, after her vetting has been completed. If you think you can be that family for Sienna, please fill out our adoption application on our website at www.safehaventn.com . We are happy to set up a meet and greet for the approved application. Her adoption fee is $300 and she is being fostered in Cookeville, TN. Out of state adoptions are $375 plus the cost of transport if not picked up in Tennessee.

Story
Blue came into the home about 8 months ago. He is high energy and needs someone with land/ a fenced in back yard. He loves going on hikes, playing with his toys, taking car ride, and adventuring everywhere. He is a cuddeler, but is used to sleeping in his crate at night. He is an anxious and needs somewhere he can feel safe without lots of new people around. Blue has had lots of training and knows basic commands as well as never had an accident in the house. He is not a chewer and is not destructive. He loves going to the dog park and running around with other dogs his size. He has been around young and older children and does well with them. His best match would be an active owner with a property able to run around and play.
