Meet Leo! Leo has been DNA tested and we know that he is a Siberian Husky/Great Pyrenees/Mountain Cur mix. He has a beautiful soft golden coat with golden brown eyes. Leo is a very sweet boy who loves to be with his humans, but he is leery of men until he gets to know them. He does overcome this fear with the help of treats and patience. Next thing you know, he will be your best friend. At the shelter, Leo was known as the play yard rockstar because he gets along so well with other dogs. We took Duke in from our friends brother. Duke spent 23 out of 24 hours a day in a crate because the owner wasn’t allowed to have him in the house. He was terribly infested with fleas, so I couldn’t let him stay there. Unfortunately I just didn’t know what all was involved in taking care of a husky. He is a great dog. He loves people and other dogs! Our home is very small and he is rather large. He lives outside but we feel like he deserves a better home with more attention for him. He also needs a groomer to handle his coat that is not in the best shape. We can’t afford that and he strongly dislikes any touching on his backside. Other than that he’s not a hard dog. He’s stubborn by nature as that comes with the breed, but he would make any one that has the time for him so happy!
