Story
Meet Hank – a big ball of energy, affection, and adorable doggie charm! He is a playful, bouncy boy who has all the puppy enthusiasm and wiggles you could hope for. His big blue eyes and his cute antics will win you over in an instant!Hank came into rescue after he was seen by a vets teenage sons shivering and sitting by trash cans at an unoccupied southern home. They were concerned and decided to go back a few hours later to see if he was still there, and he was. Hank came right up to them and was more than happy to go with them. Unfortunately, they could not bring him into their home since their pooch was not very fond of others. So vet mom brought him to her clinic, where he was in boarding for a bit. He has now made his way up North and is ready to be your forever buddy.Hank absolutely adores every human he meets – he just wants to shower you with affection, and he’ll lure you in with his wiggly tail and those big, soulful blue eyes. While he’s a bit of a bull in a china shop (he doesn’t quite realize how big he is), he’s very sweet and has great instincts – especially when you gently say “ouch” if he is play-mouthing your hands or toes. He’s a good listener and wants to be the best boy. He’s great with other dogs. He’s calm when other dogs bark at him and prefers to engage with playful, puppy pounces from a distance. Hank’s got some good canine instincts and is always up for a game of chase or a fun, silly romp.Hank is a perfect fit for dog-savvy kids who can keep up with his energy and help him navigate his big, lovable personality. He's definitely more of a "big kid" than a little one.Despite his boundless energy, Hank is crate trained and settles down wonderfully when it’s time for a little downtime. He’s still working on leash training and getting used at the hustle and bustle sounds of city life, but he’s getting better every day – he’ll be a great walking companion in no time! Oh, and did we mention how food-driven he is? He loves a good treat after a potty break or going into his crate. He’ll do anything for a snack! Great for training!!If you're looking for an affectionate, energetic, and playful best friend who’s ready to shower you with love, Hank is your guy! Just get ready for lots of cuddles – his favorite thing is to lay right on top of you while playing with his toys.Give Hank a chance, and he’ll bring endless love and joy to your home!Name: Hank Blue EyesBreed: Husky/CrossbreedSex: MaleAge: 1 year (estimated)Weight: 48.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: Over 5Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: No, much too interested in them.Adoption Fee: $550.00 (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently: New EnglandIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.
