Story
Lumen is an adorable, almost 1-year-old spayed female Husky mix who was found as a stray on the streets of Memphis when she was a baby. Lumen was adopted by a family who decided she wasn't a good match for them after she had a medical issue that has since been resolved - their loss. This girl is a lovebug with a side of chaos! Affectionate to a fault, she’s always ready for a snuggle, but don’t let that fool you—she’s got enough energy to power a small city. She adores other dogs, especially if they’re down for rough-and-tumble play that might resemble a WWE match more than a polite meet-and-greet. She lived with cats in her Tennessee foster home but has not lived with cats for a while now. She’s got a particular dietary need, so you'll need to add some enzymes to her food—because even a wild spirit like hers needs a bit of help digesting all that adventure. The enzymes are not expensive. When it comes to obedience, she’s mastered “sit” and “wait,” but when it’s time for a walk, well, let’s say leash training is still a work in progress—so consider this a “continuing education” opportunity for both of you!Oh, and did we mention she gets motion sickness? Yep, it's only the best road trip if you're cool with frequent pit stops. But with her sweet nature and boundless affection, you’ll forgive the occasional car ride drama!Name: LumenBreed: HuskySex: FemaleAge: 11 months (estimated)Weight: 40.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: Over 5Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: UnknownAdoption Fee: $500.00 (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently: ConnecticutIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue.
