Story
Are you ready for fun, frolic and just want to have a good time? Well, I’m your gal! Hey there, I’m known as Daffy. No, not like Daffy the Duck, I’m Daffy the “Friendly to all People” girl that is 6 months old and about 45# that’s looking for not only a good time but a “Furever Home”! Presently living in a rescue/kennel environment, I do need to learn a few things. But being a smart Husky/Pit mix, I’m ready and willing to take my next step and learn to be a great buddy for the whole family. I love to play not only with 2 legged folks, large and small, but also other dogs and possibly cats if given a correct introduction. I’m eager to please, affectionate, loyal, even tempered and yes, even a little “Goofy” in my play. Ball you say, GREAT! Just give it a toss! Huskies are known to be “Free-Spirited”, agile, athletic, ready to explore the outside world and good-natured with everyone. Daffy is just that and more. She is a beautiful pup that is excited to see everyone. Once she says hello, she will settle down and take in your love. Please give my rescue a call to meet me, you will not be disappointed! Daffy is “like Taffy” sweet in demeanor and will stick to your side as you explore together.   DOB: 11/24/23  Pups are Pitbull/Husky mixes.  They are spayed and ready for homes.  Both are very friendly with people and other dogs.  We are not looking to adopt them together. To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org. Fill the form out completely, print, scan and email back to mollysplace@verizon.net. Story
Hey everyone! My name is Brody. I’m told my name is Scottish meaning “Ditch or Muddy Place”, totally fitting for a pup (and my litter) being found in a coal mine. Initially black in color (go figure), after a deep cleaning bubble bath, my beautiful chestnut, tan, white soft thick coat shone through with black highlights offset by my STUNNING “Baby Blues”! Not sure why my litter mates have been adopted, leaving me. I’m told I have always been the volunteers favorite due to my Gentle Demeanor and "Sweet as Sugar" personality. Guess it’s my initial shyness. I’m assured my “true soul mate” is out there, just need to find one another! Now 1 year old, weight a petite 35#, I’m thought to be a husky mixed with a smaller pooch. Due to my shyness, I will need a 4 foot fence to ensure my safety. I’m great with other dogs, kids, people of all ages once I settle in. (Maybe cats) No mean bones here! Being a Happy-Go-Lucky boy, I just love a good game of chase, tug or simply a walk with my person. Then it’s time to settle in for a nap and snuggle time. Please consider meeting me. This “coal mining boy” is digging to meet his forever family! To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org. Fill the form out completely, print, scan and email back to mollysplace@verizon.net. You must obtain pre-approval prior to visiting the dog or cat. Story
Hello, my name is Bernard and let me tell you my tale.I`m a rambunctious Siberian husky that found my way to the shelter as a stray - as you know, my breed enjoys a good romp and wander but I was never reclaimed.I need work on crate-training and while I am sometimes good when left alone, I also (as is normal for my breed) like to get into mischief when I`m alone. Hey, I get bored so I like to sing and chew things, I just don`t always know what`s mine or yours.I have been living with another dog in my foster home and enjoy having a canine companion around. I cannot live with any cats or other small furry animals, as I like to give chase.I am a bouncy boy and love people, maybe too much because I have a history of playing a little too rough with people. I forget that I`m a big boy with teeth and people aren`t dogs. I am requiring my future people be 15 and older as well as experienced with huskies or big mouthy guys like me so I can continue working on myself and being the bestest husky around. I also must have a doggie friend to live with, as it helps me tremendously to be my best self.Do you have room in your home for a pup like me? If the answer is yes then come down to the shelter and lets meet!---If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application as I am in a foster home and available BY APPOINTMENT only.---The Pennsylvania SPCA - Lancaster Center848 S. Story
Hello, I`m Cortland! I am a traditional husky cultivar through and through. Let`s just say the apple didn`t fall far from the tree. I like to talk, sing, and crisply howl my emotions. I also can be steadfast and a bit of a tart crabapple if I don`t get my way, or if I`m forced to do anything I don`t like. That being said, I ask that any kids in the home be 8 and older, who understand the gravity of my boundaries. Since I`m still young and learning, I will need work on my crate and house training. I may enjoy living with another dog but I am not sure how I feel about cats; they`re apples and oranges after all. I just want to plant the seed of what to expect with me in your life. I have a beautiful sheen inside and out, and I am a great choice from the shelter bushel. If you are looking for a friend full of flavor and fun, then I`m your guy!---If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared --bring a photo ID, proof of address, and everyone in the home including resident dogs with vaccination history. We are open daily 12-6pm.---The Pennsylvania SPCA - Lancaster Center848 S. Prince St. Lancaster PA 17603Kennel #16516717-917-6979lancaster@pspca.org
