Story
Meet Koda! Koda originally came to us in January 2023 after she was found as a stray and she was not getting along with the finder's dogs. In the ten months that Koda has been with us, we have seen both the good and bad with her. While we are happy to adopt her out to the right home we would still be open to a rescue taking her into their care so she can continue to work on her behaviors. Koda is very picky about the people she befriends and lets into her space and is available to be visited by those with approved applications only. The kennel environment is stressful for many dogs and unfortunately amplified some of the negatives in Koda's behaviors. While in the kennel or when she is insecure in her environment Koda will guard items that she considers of high-value. In the shelter we have seen that in the form of her toys and her food/water bowls. She does not display these behaviors with staff she has bonded herself to or, generally, when she is away from the other dogs and not in the kennel. Due to these behaviors, any potential adopters will need to have previous experience owning dogs and may be required to visit with Koda more than once before taking her home! Koda cannot go to a home with other dogs, cats or kids. When Koda is comfortable with you, she is a gem of a pup! She LOVES to give kisses and will hop up for hugs and an ear scratch. This two-year-old pup is a huge fan of treats and is always ready for a snack! Koda knows 'sit' and 'leave it' currently. She is an extremely toy and food motivated pup and would love to learn more in her forever home! Her previous adopters did state that she was house-broken and generally a very well-behaved dog outside of her not getting along with their dog. Koda has done fantastic riding in the car for staff and also walks nicely on leash. Stuffed toys or anything that squeaks are her preferred toys to play with while in the yard or hanging out with staff. Koda also enjoys playing in water and would love to go to a home that will give her plenty of outdoor adventures! Staff knows that with the right home and people, Koda will make a fantastic dog! Koda is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.

Story
Meet Jax! He a super sweet, energetic boy who loves to run through the yard, dig in his dirt pile and sandbox, and play with his humans. He knows lots of commands - Sit, Stay, Lay down, Go get it, and Shake or Paw. He is fully housebroken and is crate trained. Jax is excellent with children of all ages, and does great with other dogs, big and small! He has not been around cats during our time with him, so I am not sure how he would do around them. His new home must have a large yard with some type of fencing system or fenced containment area, as this is what he is used to and I am not sure how he would do in a yard without that. He is truly husky through and through with his big silly personality, all in a tiny frame! Jax is not a big fan of walking with a leash, but we are working on that! I am sure with some extra training, he will be a pro in no time! If you are looking for a buddy with lots of love to give, Jax might be the one for you!

Story
Carolina was rescued from a kill shelter, she was very skinny, frightened and had painful eyes due to intropian (her eyelashes were turned in and irritating/scratching her eyes) which caused her constant pain for her entire life. Her eyes have been repaired but one is still irritating her and may need another surgery to repair it again. Otherwise she is very healthy, very active, she is looking for an active person who loves to run, hike, travel, be outdoors to play ball with her - she loves to play with other larger-breed dogs with proper introductions. She is very friendly with people. She is very young and needs some training! She is an awesome dog for an active person or family with children over 10. Not good with cats or small animals.

Story
Carson came to us from a puppy mill farm that closed down. He lived in a 10x10 run since he was a puppy with little human interaction. He is shy and timid but has learned so much in the little bit of time we have had him. He is a sweet deserving guy that will blossom with a patient family that can introduce him to life outside of a 10x10 run. He is looking for stability and someone to love. He would benefit from living with a female dog companion who can help show him what home life is like.

Story
Violet came to us from a kill shelter with Diesel who is also available for adoption. Violet is a young, bouncy, happy girl, who is ready for family to love her. She could live with another male companion in the home but would also be just as happy being the only dog in the home where she can get all the attention she deserves. Violet is a sweet, affectionate, smaller girl at 60lbs. and approximately a year and a half old. She is looking for a family with a fenced in yard and no small animals please. *********************************** If you are interested in ADOPTING or FOSTERING, please complete an application by cutting & pasting the following link: https://form.jotform.com/60794585351161 Or visit CHAAMP.org to access the Adoption/Foster link and learn about the process. https://www.chaamp.org/adoption-process Your application tells us about your lifestyle and helps us find a potential match for you and your family. Story
Diesel is estimated to be one and a half years old. He is a sweet and shy boy looking forward to having a family. He weighs about 100 lbs. and is sensitive to loud noises (no city life please). Diesel would do best in a nice quiet home and fenced in backyard would be ideal. Diesel would benefit from having a female four-legged companion in the home to show him the ropes and discover his new world. He is affectionate and will give you his paw to request love and attention. Diesel was pulled from a kill shelter with Violet (a malamute/husky mix) who CHAAMP also has available
