My name is Rex. I am a very handsome 2-year-old Husky mix and weigh 50.6 lbs. My birthday is 10/15/2021. I am UTD on my shots and neutered. I do need to learn how to potty outside but am super smart and with a little help feel I can master that. I have the cutest walk with a slight limp due to me having to have surgery to repair a dislocated elbow and torn ligaments. Sadly, I got hit by a car, but the good news is someone stopped to help me. Huskies are high energy pups who really enjoy the outdoors. They are very intelligent, playful, and smart dogs. If you enjoy going on walks and being outdoors Rex may be the dog for you. Since Rex doesn't like to share his humans, he would need to be the only dog in the home. Even though he doesn't like other dogs he is great and loves people. Meet Scotty. This sweet boy was found in the road and brought to a local vet. After a few weeks, the owner was found but did not want him back. While at the vet, Scotty was updated on all his vaccines and neutered. He is an energetic yet gentle boy and loves people. He loves to get petted or scratched. Scotty gets along well with other dogs but may chase cats. He walks fairly well on a leash. Now he is ready to find a family that will love him and keep him forever. Scotty is about 31 pounds and 2 years old. Update: Scotty had tested positive for 2 common tick borne diseases, Lyme & Anaplasmosis. He is on a course of antibiotic treatment and feeling great. He can be sent home with his antibiotic to be completed with his new family! Scotty is currently available for adoption. ***You must provide a vet reference for a current or past pet you have/had.*** We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.  Meet Panda Girl: Your New Best Friend!  Name: Panda Girl  Breed: Husky Mix  Age: 2-3 years old Weight: 48 pounds   Let us tell you about Panda Girl's journey which hasn't been easy. She was found at an abandoned house, left in a dirty pen with two other dogs, surviving without food or water for some time. For the past 9 months Panda Girl has been sadly waiting patiently for her forever home at a small town shelter, existing in a dark and depressing, tiny concrete cell. Despite her tough start, Panda Girl is a true sweetheart and still has a great attitude and grateful for any attention or moment outside her cell in the play yard. This girl is able to stay out in the play yard a lot because she gets along well with other dogs and adores everyone she meets. Her time in the shelter's play yard shows that she still has a  playful spirit and friendly nature.  This poor girl needs a break from this mundane existence in a shelter.  9 months is sheer torture and we hope someone will help her get out by fostering or even better, adopting.  Panda Girl deserves a loving family who will give her the care and companionship she craves. Story
Marley is a beautiful purebred Husky girl that is a nice settled 6 year old girl that is 45 pounds and rescued from a totally inhumane living environment for the last 4 years.   This girl needs some patience, love, training to not jump on you as you enter her space to pet her and a first time ever inside home.  She has lived in a neglected backyard environment that has resulted in her having heartworms which are being treated now.
