LEASH SKILLS: Pulls minimally HANDLING : In the room Raine was very social and would solicit often. She allowed all over handling and would lean in when petting her and solicit often. She allowed all over handling without issue and would jump up on our laps for pets. She could lack manners at times and be a bit jumpy and demanding for attention, but overall was easy to handle! He's a curious guy who braved the tunnel to grab a stuffed toy. Once he had warmed up, his playful side came out and he was very bouncy & loved playing with the toys. Per staff 1/22: Brought Hunter into the office for a group of 8 volunteers and he was fabulous! Came in with tappy toes and solicited attention from each person, allowed all over petting, sat for treats, took treats gently, and laid on the ground for all over pets. He was an absolute lovebug and they were all so impressed with him. He was very calm and such a gentleman 01/20/2025 staff notes: KENNEL PRESENTATION: Hunter was standing near the door with some mid level wags and neutral body language. He did stick his nose in the crack and was very focused on getting out of kennel when the handler opened to leash him. She was able to leash him ears to snout without issue. LEASH SKILLS: Pulls moderately HANDLING : In the room Hunter was friendly with both of us and easy to handle! He was very handler oriented and would solicit often in the room and seek out attention. He allowed all over handling and would lean in when petting him. He wasn’t the biggest fan of his paws being touched, but would just pull them away, no further reaction. He was very gentle in the room and easy to handle. No interest in treats, showed knowledge of sit. PLAY: Engaged in play TOYS Interest but no possession 01/19/2025 Staff notes: dog appears very calm, allowing most strangers to interact with it, and has allowed apo to place in truck without muzzle. She’s very treat-motivated and she’ll sit patiently and offer her paw in exchange for a tasty snack! Super treat motivated and very well behaved! She went up and over the A frame following treats, she knows sit and takes treats very gently. She’s a very intelligent girl! Pulls moderately on leash but very easy to direct. No issues returning to kennel 01/26/2025 staff notes: KENNEL PRESENTATION: Mushi was at the front with a neutral body and low tail. The handler tried to leash her and she tried to push out with her snout and refused to put herself back in and the handler was able to maneuver her leash in between the door and her and she moved back. Once secured she came out. LEASH SKILLS: Pulls minimally Needs leash pressure for returning HANDLING : In the room, Mushi was pacing around the room with the handler and was sniffing around curiously. She took some treats gently from the handler. She sat down patiently and gave her paw for more treats. She is very treat motivated which is very good for her breed. She allowed all handling and would give some low wags on occasion. She was curious about the handlers and super timid and relaxed. She remained social and friendly and was a doll to be around.
