Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Saraph! This energetic sweetheart (born 10/1/21) loves rolling around in the grass under the sun at her foster home. This friendly girl is house trained and is working on building a positive association with her crate. She is good with other dogs and cats. Saraph thinks she is a small dog and loves to cuddle and try to sit in your lap. While she will play with toys, she prefers neck scratches and being as close to her owner as possible. Slow introductions are best when meeting smaller animals. Saraph has had a few experiences with children and appears to be gentle and patient with them.   In the morning, Saraph loves to speak. She will attempt to help with yardwork, keeping your grass down by munching on it. Always curious, Saraph enjoys sticking her nose in the air during car rides. Saraph is great on the leash and is working on not jumping at every squirrel that runs past. Saraph is food motivated and picks up on cues very quickly. This intelligent girl loves a good puzzle.  This girl has everything going for her with the proper time and attention!Saraph is not recommended for a home with children. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION BELOW CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING FOR OUR FLUFFIES   BREED :  Best guess:  Husky and Labrador Retriever SIZE:   We can NOT predict the size of these puppies at maturity.  Safe to say – Large.  Please don’t apply if size is a factor in your decision.  Our goal is to never have to re-home our dogs—especially because they didn’t grow to expectations. THEY POOP AND PEE A LOT:  Be prepared.  Typically, a puppy can control their bladder one hour for every month of age. So if your puppy is 2 months old, they can hold it for about two hours. Don't go longer than this between bathroom breaks or they're likely to have an accident and will be more difficult to train.  If you haven't raised a puppy recently--Please do some research.  Patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement is a MUST--shoving a puppy's nose into their mistake is cruel, old school, and can be counterproductive. THEY WILL SHED A LOT; DO YOU HAVE A GOOD SWEEPER  :) IF you work away from home—In your absence you will need a patient care giver for your new addition. THESE PUPS absolutely need training, exercise, and commitment to grooming.  These sweet pups can give the right owner many wonderful years of companionship and love; but that loyalty comes with a committent. It is the responsibility of puppy adopters to continue and complete the puppy shot/maintenance protocols.  These pups have had their first puppy shot and are dewormed (you may have to continue follow up on deworming).  Puppies will need at least two more boosters and a rabies vaccine in the coming weeks with boosters again yearly.  Your vet may recommend other vaccines in the future; such as lyme, influenza etc.   You MUST sign a contract agreeing to have your puppy spayed/neutered at an age recommended by your veterinarian.  You must provide Haven to Home with proof of SPAY/NEUTER at an agreed upon date in the future. ASK yourself:  Can I afford to have my puppy spayed/neutered? This dog may live to be 15-20 years old. Do I really want to make this possible lifetime commitment? If my pet gets sick or injured can I afford the medical treatment? (In some cases this could be for the duration of my pet's life.) Am I home enough to give this pet the proper attention and training that it needs? What will I do with the dog if we go away on vacation? Can I afford the adoption fee? Can I afford the cost of monthly flea and heartworm preventative? If you are STILL interested in adopting one of our pups :) please submit an application.  Our rescue dogs are placed in homes based on the best possible match for dog and human. Puppies are now available for adoption.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. Story
Nico was surrendered to us with another dog because their owner got sick and could no longer care from them. Nico has lived with dogs, cats and kids. He is scared at the shelter and gives you the saddest eyes. He has been having a good time running around and playing with toys any chance he gets. He is a big lap dog that wants to love all on you. He is hoping his stay here is short and the perfect person comes to scoop him up.
