Story
Hello, my name is: WooWooDOB: 1/18/2015Sex/Breed: Spayed female HuskyWeight: ~50 lbsRescued From: Found strayWooWoo was found wandering the streets, dragging a broken tie out. It seems she finally got fed up with being chained outside and took it upon herself to escape the life she lived. Thankfully, some Good Samaritans were able to capture her and whisk her to safety. She was thin, tired, and clearly overbred. It took a while to get her to a healthy weight, but she is bright, happy, and filled in now. She had another name originally, but the songs she sings her foster family quickly earned her the name “WooWoo,” and it stuck. WooWoo is a gentle and sweet Husky girl looking for an artic-breed-loving family to call her own in her golden years. She shares her foster home with dogs of all sizes and gets along beautifully with them. She has great manners and loves food and treats. WooWoo enjoys the snow and being outdoors. If you are looking for a gentle dog to spoil, look no further than this girl! She’ll repay you with devotion and love that know no bounds. Please help us find WooWoo the forever home she so desperately deserves! All our pets are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.Interested in adopting? Hello, my name is: MikaDOB: 1/18/2023Sex/Breed: Spayed female Husky/Hound mixWeight: 37 lbsRescued From: Owner surrenderMika is the life of the party and the center of attention. She loves to have fun, whether she’s roughhousing with her doggy pals or playing with toys. She’s athletic, intelligent, and affectionate – checking most boxes for “world’s best dog.” Mika seems house trained, is forward-friendly with people and other dogs, and is eager to please. If your family loves the outdoors, Mika is your girl! She’d be the perfect camping companion and avid hiker. Her ideal family will have the time to tweak her manners and love a dog who doesn’t understand personal space (picture face kisses and climbing in your lap any chance she gets). She has the most unique look with blue in her eyes and a sleek reddish coat – Mika is truly one of a kind! All our pets are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.Interested in adopting? MEET SPIRIT! Need a gardening buddy? Spirit’s your girl! She’ll tip-toe through your tulips without wrinkling a petal. She will be your quiet shadow! Spirit is a petite, energetic little girl who is about three-years-old. She loves to cuddle and get petted. She is a quick-learner, especially when treats are involved! Spirit is crate trained, house trained and rides well in the car. She needs to be crated if home alone. Spirit can pull on leash, but does better on an Easy-Walk Harness. Spirit is a typical athletic Husky and can jump a 4ft. fence. She will need at least a 5ft. fenced yard. Spirit does well with other male dogs, but not females. No cats or small animals for Spirit. Spirit has not been around young children so recommend a home with older children, thirteen and up. Spirit is a great hostess! She will welcome your guests and make them feel well loved! Spirit is looking forward to finding her forever home with lots of love and attention. She prefers to be wherever her family is hanging out. If you’re an active family with lots of time to devote to this good girl, you and Spirit may be a match for each other! Story
Goose is a friendly 1 and a half year old who will happily hop in your lap as soon as you sit down. He likes to meet new people and treats everyone like they’re his best buddy! Goose is a climber and a jumper. He will need at least a 5 ft. fence. He also loves to sit on chairs and play with boxes. Playing in water is also a major attraction for Goose, he loves the kiddy pool! Goose is crate trained and good in the car. Goose is house trained and will let you know he has to go out by pacing and crying. Currently, Goose needs to go out to potty every five to 6 hours. Due to his exuberant nature, Gooses would do best in a home with children thirteen or older. Goose is in a foster home with adult dogs and responds well to correction from his senior mentors. He also enjoys playing with dogs his age. Goose is an extremely high energy guy and will need a canine playmate in his new home. Goose plays rough and will need a companion who can match his energy. A combination of walks and play in a fenced yard will help Goose use up his bounty of energy. Goose will not do well on a tie out. Goose is very food motivate and can learn new tricks and routines when treats are involved. Goose weighs 53 lbs. Goose enjoys playing with toys, Kongs, Bene Bones, Nylabones and tennis balls. Unlike most Huskies, Goose is happy to play fetch. Goose cannot be placed with cats or other small animals. Goose is a sweet boy with a bounty of love to give! If you’re an active family with lots of time and energy to devote to a young dog, you and Goose may be a match for each other! If you are interested in possibly adopting Goose, submit DVSHR’s online Adoption Application here: https://www.siberianhuskyrescue.org/adoption-application Please email us at: info@siberianhuskyrescue.org with questions.
