Story
Meet Nougat!Nougat is a beautiful, soft-coated dog with striking icy blue eyes and a playful, affectionate personality. He enjoys chase, fetch, and yard time, and he settles in happily for cuddles once he feels comfortable. Nougat is housebroken and polite-he waits to be invited onto furniture. He loves children, though he does best with kids 8 years and older. He occasionally needs reminders to be gentle with his mouth and may attempt to mount during play, but he is easily redirected.Nougat has experienced anxiety in the shelter environment and thrives in a predictable, structured home. He does best with morning and evening exercise and would strongly benefit from a home with a fenced yard. He enjoys the company of people and gets along well with other dogs. He would do well living with another playful dog or having regular opportunities for dog-park visits or playdates. While initially timid with new people, Nougat warms up quickly. On-leash, he may become anxious when encountering unfamiliar individuals and may attempt to move back toward home. Continued leash-manner training will help him build confidence in these situations. Although he is very fast, he has not shown escape tendencies and stays near his foster family outdoors.Nougat does exhibit some mild separation distress. It will be helpful to have games or toys for him to focus on when his people are not home. He and will cry for approximately 10 minutes after his people leave. For this reason, a house is preferable to an apartment to minimize noise concerns for neighbors.Nougat is seeking a calm, stable home that can offer routine, reassurance, and plenty of opportunities for exercise. With patience and consistency, he will make a devoted, loving companion. Primary Color: Tan Weight: 35 Age: 1yrs 7mths 0wks

Story
Maybe you've thought of getting a Husky but then wondered if size might be an issue... well, Turbo is literally a miniature version! He is an absolute little cartoon character full of personality and potential. - Approximately 10 months old and just 16 pounds - We are not sure on his exact breed mix but took our best guess with Husky/Chihuahua - Medium to higher energy level but can settle in the home. Turbo will benefit from an active adopter who will include him on adventures, outings, walks and new things to see and do. - Good with other dogs and has lived with many - Good with cats and is fostered with four of them - Good with children and was even fostered in a home with an infant - Does great meeting new people - Crate trained - Excellent potty habits - Confident, social, wants to be all up in the mix in the activity of a home Turbo was a stray in California who was hanging out near a courthouse looking very sad and neglected (we can share his rescue photos if you'd like to see them.) He's a resilient pup though and is so eager to explore and connect with people despite being let down by humans. Turbo is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, heartworm tested negative, dewormed and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Portland or Tualatin. $400 adoption fee Fostered in Milwaukie, Oregon APPLY TO ADOPT TURBO ON OUR WEBSITE: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG

Story
**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to OR for you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Frank is a 1-year-old Husky mix with a happy soul and a whole lot of love to give! Currently weighing around 30 lbs, Frank is expected to grow to about 40–50 lbs when fully grown — the perfect medium-sized adventure buddy. Frank is a sweet, social, and playful pup who gets along great with other dogs and is quickly learning the ropes of leash walking. He’s fairly crate-trained and is making steady progress with house training. He hasn’t been around cats or kids yet, but with his gentle and friendly nature, he has lots of potential to adapt with proper introductions. Whether he's out on a walk, playing with doggy friends, or snuggling up at home, Frank is just looking for someone to share his big heart and bright spirit with. If you're ready to add some joy, energy, and puppy love to your life, Frank might just be your perfect match! Interested in becoming a forever home for Frank Sinatra? For immediate consideration, please fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we DO NOT go any further without an application. If there are multiple dogs that you are interested in, please fill out an application for each dog. This does not include bonded pairs, one application will be fine. We have different adoption coordinators working with different dogs, and your application may be missed if you only apply once. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Frank Sinatra. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Frank Sinatra the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
