Oakley (husky mix) has been with our family since she was a puppy. She is an energetic, playful, very loving dog. She is two years old and just had a birthday in October. She is a family dog and has been raised around kids all her life. She has also been with our lab since she was little. She loves other dogs and people. We are saddened to have her rehomed but due to new infant circumstances we have had to make this tough decision. Oakley would fit in best with someone who has the time for daily walk/runs. Lots of indoor and outdoor space. She is very accustomed to being an in home pup and loves to be close with her family. We hope to find someone who is serious about adding a new dog to their family. She is still at a great age to learn and adjust to change.

Haku means "pure" in Japanese! I was named for my pure, passionate and overwhelming love for everyone around me! I came to the rescue when my dad was stationed in Japan and heartbroken that he couldn't take me with him. I've missed him so much ever since! Everyday I do the things I did with him with other dogs so I can try and remember what it felt like to be with him! But it's just not the same. So, I'm hoping a new family can come scoop me up and show me what it feels like to be a part of a home and family again! I am good with other dogs, I love playing chase with them or tugging on chew toys. I'll need a happy and active home so that my life will be full of love and fun! I am a bit anxious and nervous around new people, and people in general! Slow introductions, a safe space I can retreat to like a crate and not forcing me into spaces with tons of people will help me be myself all the time! Meet Gunner! A loving and loyal 2 year old male Husky mix. Gunner is a playful and inquisitive sort of dog who is happy to curl up with you on the lawn, play a good game of fetch, or chewing up a good toy. He is fully up to date at the vets, neutered, and a recent visit to the vet with a clean bill of health. He has on leash anxiety around other dogs but has made several friends with proper introductions having had no incidents. He does have a prey drive and is not small animal friendly (Cats, Chickens, etc.) Kennel trained for up to 12 hours, but is accustomed to light or moderate activity every 2 to 4 hours. Not a fan of cars, but will sit for a couple hours. Would make a fantastic dog for a family without small children or someone outdoorsy. Would do best with a yard or a fenced space to roam.

Hi, I'm Nina, a 12-year-old Alaskan Shepherd/Husky mix. I might be a bit older, but I've got plenty of love and energy to share! During the day, I enjoy lounging around and taking naps, but I'll definitely let you know when I need to go out or want some attention. Despite being a husky, I'm not aloof at all. I love being brushed and sitting outside with my person - it's one of my favorite pastimes. I'm crate trained and sleep comfortably in my crate at night, though I also enjoy sleeping outside of it too. I'm great with kids and other people once I get to know you. I'm housetrained and know basic commands, especially when treats are involved. I'm a smart cookie and will check the yard for any escape routes, so it's important that fences and gates are secure. I enjoy going for a mile walk twice a day, and I could even go longer, but my human gets tired. On walks, my husky side really comes out - I like to be in front a little and can get easily distracted by other dogs or cats. I don't like being outside alone for long periods, and I really don't get along with cats. If given the chance, I might chase chickens too. I will be your calm, wise companion and will bring so much joy and love to your life.

I've had them since they were puppies, they are just over 4 years old. Over the last year or so they have not been able to receive the attention and care they deserve. They have also become unwelcome within our current living situation. Willow and Sitka are littermates that we got together. Since having them they have lived with our 3 year old and now our 1 year old very successfully. They both love playing fetch and swimming, they spend a lot of time off leash as we live in the country. They have never showed aggression to people and get along well with other dogs. I think they would be ok being separated and I think they would both settle into a new home very comfortably and easily. Neither of them has had any health issues and are very robust; enjoying the snow and cold weather in typical malamtute fashion.

Now that you are blinded by my beauty, let me explain why I am the absolute best girl on the inside too and so deserving of your (and everyone's) undivided adoration. I'm loyal, smart as a whip, and FUN, just to name a few. Unfortunately, I didn't come from the most glamorous beginnings. I was an outdoor doggy with not much interaction from birth and my family also left me behind when they moved. Thus, I wasn't really brought up interacting with you humans or being touched/handled. I've had my quirks while adjusting to being a family dog and will definitely need someone patient and understanding with me. (If you get too touchy right away, I don't like that and will try to protect myself.) However, if you are slow and gain my trust I will HANG on your every move. I have adjusted very quickly in the past with proper introductions to people. Even still, I would probably do best in a home without young children. I'm a lady after all and need time to sniff you out before you get grabby. I am an active girl and love to feel the wind in my hair outdoors too. I run with the speed of light and have a prey drive to sniff out bugs, lizards and more. I also love to play tug of war and fetch with my foster mommy inside. I bounce, bounce, bounce all the time! I am great on leash so walks and hikes would be great for me. Getting my energy out will help me focus on training too. I am very smart and learn quickly, but tend to lose interest if I'm still chock full of go, go, go!! With all of this perfection, all of your pet needs should be fulfilled, right? RIGHT? I hope so because I would do great as an only pet in the home. I have been able to co-exist with dogs at the rescue but I am a bit of a diva in my foster home. I have a domineering personality sometimes and will even mark like a male when I come across another dog's scent in my house. How dare they??? Existing? HERE? (She is otherwise house trained.) Considering that you and I know each other a little better now, you may pet me. Yes, I am very soft, I know. Please keep in mind that I am a Chow/shepherd mix and have hair that will require brushing, maybe even the occasional spa treatment, Swedish massage, 24k gold facials...yeahhhhhhhhhh.... Sorry! I forgot you were here. In all seriousness, once I trust you, I will allow you to brush me out without much fuss. It doesn't need to be daily but I am a rough and tumble kinda gal and can use help keeping my locks flowing and free. I also shed so if I seem to be losing my girlish figure, it's probably just extra hair that needs to be brushed off. I hope you have a strong vacuum. ;) I could go on for days about myself, but I'll stop here. Don't wanna overwhelm you.
