******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. ___ Meet Celine Dion – a stunning 4-year-old Greyhound/Lab mix with a personality as big as her name! Weighing in around 58 pounds, Celine was rescued from the euthanasia list at a Houston shelter and has been thriving ever since in her loving foster home in North Carolina. She’s spayed, healthy, and available for out-of-state adoption once matched with an approved adopter—transport can be arranged to bring this superstar home to you! Celine is joyful, curious, and always ready for fun. She brings a playful spark wherever she goes—whether it’s romping in the yard with dog friends, chasing her favorite toy, or exploring new places. Her ideal playmates are other large dogs who enjoy an energetic buddy and don’t mind a little bounce in their step. She’d also be perfectly happy as the center of attention in a home where she can get plenty of activity and enrichment. This sweet girl is making great strides with her leash manners and training. She’s crate trained, housebroken, and settles quickly after an initial burst of excitement when it’s time for a walk. She’s eager to please and motivated by treats, which makes her a fun and responsive learner. Celine adores people and has done wonderfully around her foster’s 12-year-old child. She gets so excited to say hello that she sometimes forgets her size—but she’s learning to greet people more gently and is improving every day. Because of her enthusiasm, we recommend a home with kids over 10 who are comfortable around playful, happy dogs. She’s respectful with toys and food, shows no guarding behavior, and enjoys being near her humans for affection, praise, and snuggles. In the car, she may pant at first, but she’s gaining confidence with each ride—and a few more adventures will help her become a travel pro. Celine would thrive in an active home with room to stretch her legs, regular walks, and loving guidance to help her keep growing into her best self. Whether she’s your one-and-only or joins a friendly pack, she’s ready to fill your days with laughter, companionship, and love. Ready to be serenaded daily with joy and tail wags? Celine Dion is waiting to steal your heart. ___ ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her? This sweet girl is the perfect mix of playful and chill. She’s gentle, loving, and happiest when she’s near her people. Whether she’s enjoying a walk, hanging out in the yard, or simply resting by your side while you work, she’s always content just being part of the day. CALLIE loves the company of other dogs—especially friendly, playful pups close to her own size. She’d do best in a home without small children, simply because of her size and enthusiasm. She’s affectionate and adores attention, sometimes so much that she tries to climb right into your lap during pets! She is truly a big ole lapdog. There’s really nothing difficult about her—she’s easygoing, sweet, and ready to be someone’s loyal companion. If you’re looking for a dog who balances playtime with calm companionship, she could be the perfect fit for you. She is currently located in Portland, OR and would love to meet you! Story
We all know Salt makes everything better and this boy is no exception to that. Salt is the perfect blend of bouncy, melty, loving hilarity. I spent the afternoon with him and honestly giggled and awwww’d the whole time. Some dogs bring goofy and that is so fun, some bring so much heart-wide-open love. Very few bring the perfect balance of both and Salt is one of those rare ones. On top of everything he is so stinking adorable. Dark eyes, floppy ears, a fluffy, curly tail… my goodness he is a cutie! He is simply, the kind of dog that keeps you laughing with his silly self, then melts at your feet like a marshmallow. At just around a year old (estimated because he is a rescue) and weighing 52 lbs,, which we believe is his full-grown size. At this age he is still in-training to be a grown-up pup. We can’t guarantee age or breed but we suspect he is a shepherd/ husky mix. He’s fostered in a home with a full dog pack, and he has an especially cute relationship with the littlest pup in the crew. Watching him play is like seeing a kid at recess — goofy, silly faces, funny noises all while forgetting everyone else. You can see a bit of it (plus so much more) in his adoption video here- https://youtu.be/cMR40T70zf8 But he is not all high energy; Salt is also the king of the love-lean cuddle. Stand still for a minute, better yet- sit down, and he will be there gently leaning his whole self into your legs. I don’t know what it is but that move always feels like the sweetest version of a hug from a dog. If you return that love with a belly-rub you have sent him right to heaven. Salt is pretty perfect but he is still growing so he has a few areas where he is a work-in-progress. For example, his leash manners are still coming along. He has the basics down but lets his excitement for walks show when he first hits the pavement. A gentle reminder is about all he needs to reconnect. Once you’re in a rhythm though, he listens and is ready to move. A home with a yard will be an important element for Salt, he needs space to move, plus with a little husky in him chances are he will be a singing and howling boy so apartment life is just not the right fit. He could thrive with a medium-energy female dog who’s down to play and patient with his big feelings. Cats? Not his thing. He’s a little too excited and chase-prone for the feline crowd. But people? Salt is all in. He’s been great with kids at events (he is a bit of a regular at a local brewery) always happy, wiggly, and gentle with the little ones who come up to say hi or run by playing chase. We can easily picture him as a fun family dog with kids over 5 who can handle his bounce. Sprinkle Salt into your life to add more love, fun, and loyalty. This big hearted goof-ball will not be available for long- he is just too good! Questions? Email sarahb@threelittlepittiesrescue.org Ready to apply? https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6855b22bfde9a88f3b0f4c0d We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA  or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!  The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!  We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.  Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. Ghost came from a rescue in Texas. When we got him he had kennel cough and fleas and was significantly malnourished. He is house trained and crate trained. He is a really good dog, he is super high energy and needs some training. He knows basic commands like sit, stay, and lay down. The problem we are having is with our work schedules we can’t give him the life he deserves. He deserves to be in a household with people that can provide him constant exercise and stimulation.

Story
Meet Midnight — the tall, stunning, floppy-eared dreamboat with eyes as warm as melted chocolate and a coat that glows like bronze in the sunshine! 🌙✨ This 3-year-old Malamute/Husky mix (we think!) is basically the canine version of a supermodel… if that supermodel also happened to be a total goofball who loves belly rubs, splashy pool parties, and zooming in circles just for the joy of it. From the moment you meet him, Midnight’s charm is impossible to resist. He’s got that big, easy grin, a tail that never stops wagging, and a “hi, I love you already” kind of energy that makes you instantly fall head over heels. When we met him, he popped his head out the car window just to say hello — tail thumping, eyes sparkling, already making friends before his paws even hit the ground. That’s Midnight in a nutshell: confident, happy, and so full of life. Watch Midnight's personality shine in his video! https://youtu.be/zD5VOftQENw?si=Q2MOviX1hAr6ljAz He’s also seriously affectionate. The minute you crouch down, he leans his whole big body into you for pets and kisses, like he’s trying to soak up every ounce of love you’ll give him (and then some). He’s that perfect mix of adventure dog and cuddle bug — equally thrilled to go on a long hike or flop beside you on the couch like a giant, fuzzy blanket with legs. And when it comes to dog friends? Midnight is an absolute blast. 🎉 He’s super social and loves to play rough-and-rowdy style with his buddies — big bouncy play bows, zooming laps, goofy wrestling, and lots of splashing in the kiddie pool mid-play just because he can. He does great with confident, playful dogs (especially sassy females who can keep up and tell him when to chill). He’s got that big personality that other confident dogs love, and once the play settles, he’s happy to lounge and soak up the vibes. He’s the kind of dog who’d be perfect for someone who loves adventures — hikes, beach trips, park playdates, or just neighborhood strolls where everyone stops to say “wow, he’s gorgeous!” (which, trust us, they will). Despite being part husky, Midnight’s surprisingly quiet — he doesn’t have much to say, he just wags, wiggles, and wins hearts wherever he goes. Midnight would thrive in a home with a yard to romp around in or an active person or family who wants a loyal, silly, handsome sidekick for all their outings. He’d do great with kids and loves being part of the fun. He’s one of those dogs that just fits right into the rhythm of family life — happy to go, happy to stay, as long as he’s got his people and plenty of love. Did we mention how ridiculously good-looking he is? Because truly, this boy could be on the cover of Dog Vogue. His rich brown coat shines in the light, his fur looks like velvet, and his expressive face always looks like he’s smiling. Add in his long legs, fluffy tail, and slightly dorky zoomies, and you’ve got yourself a dog who’s both model material and comedian of the year. Midnight is the total package — stunning, sweet, playful, and full of personality. He’s the kind of dog that turns heads, steals hearts, and makes every day brighter just by being his big, silly, perfect self. 💕 Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
