🐾 Adopt Teddy: Your New Furry Friend! 🐾 Meet Teddy, the charming pup who's ready to be a part of your family! Teddy is a smart and silly dog with a heart full of adventure - without all the adventures! He loves to explore and spend time in the yard and lie in the sun. He gets along with other dogs very well! Though Teddy is still very shy and timid with humans, he still loves to follow you around, see what you are up to, and to be near you! With a little patience and love, he'll be the perfect companion for your home. He is only for someone who has the patience to give him TIME! After living a life outdoors, he is just so grateful to be inside a home at all! If you're looking for a dog who will open up with time and patience, Teddy is the one for you! We have a LOT of experience with the super shy ones, and we KNOW they all come out of their shell and end up being easy peasy companions full of gratitude and love. Teddy also has an enlarged esophagus and needs to be fed WET FOOD (not kibble) or he will throw it up. With wet food he has been fine for 2 straight weeks - so far (starting in early March)! Yay! Story
This sweet girl is the perfect mix of playful and chill. She’s gentle, loving, and happiest when she’s near her people. Whether she’s enjoying a walk, hanging out in the yard, or simply resting by your side while you work, she’s always content just being part of the day. CALLIE loves the company of other dogs—especially friendly, playful pups close to her own size. She’d do best in a home without small children, simply because of her size and enthusiasm. She’s affectionate and adores attention, sometimes so much that she tries to climb right into your lap during pets! She is truly a big ole lapdog. There’s really nothing difficult about her—she’s easygoing, sweet, and ready to be someone’s loyal companion. If you’re looking for a dog who balances playtime with calm companionship, she could be the perfect fit for you. She is currently located in Portland, OR and would love to meet you! Contact colleen@startrescue.org for more information or you can apply at startrescue.org/adopt She is fixed and vaccinated.

All fees listed include transport fees.**Expected transport will be 10/17/25 Frank is a 1-year-old Husky mix with a happy soul and a whole lot of love to give! Currently weighing around 30 lbs, Frank is expected to grow to about 40–50 lbs when fully grown — the perfect medium-sized adventure buddy. Frank is a sweet, social, and playful pup who gets along great with other dogs and is quickly learning the ropes of leash walking. He’s fairly crate-trained and is making steady progress with house training. He hasn’t been around cats or kids yet, but with his gentle and friendly nature, he has lots of potential to adapt with proper introductions. Whether he's out on a walk, playing with doggy friends, or snuggling up at home, Frank is just looking for someone to share his big heart and bright spirit with. If you're ready to add some joy, energy, and puppy love to your life, Frank might just be your perfect match! Interested in becoming a forever home for Frank Sinatra? For immediate consideration, please fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we DO NOT go any further without an application. If there are multiple dogs that you are interested in, please fill out an application for each dog. This does not include bonded pairs, one application will be fine. We have different adoption coordinators working with different dogs, and your application may be missed if you only apply once. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Frank Sinatra. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Frank Sinatra the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
