Husky Mix 3 years old Male 55 pounds Kids · 8+ Dogs · Yes Cats · No My name is Toro, and I am one handsome Husky. I’m sweet natured and full of life. I’m plenty adventurous, but I also love to just chill when the time is right. I do wonderfully in my crate, and I promise it is a great start to everything else you wanna teach me! I also get along great with all the other dogs here and I enjoy the company of sturdy children 8+, but I hope this doesn’t come as too big of a surprise to you Husky aficionados…cats are a no-go. If you ask me to sit, I’ll oblige, and if you ask me to come, I’ll think about it. LOL! I don’t mean to cut this short, but I think it’s time you hurry in and meet me! My adoption fee is $220 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Story
This cutie is Cayanne. Affectionate, so incredibly loyal, a dog’s dog and a lover to her core. So obedient, eager to please and highly trainable. She is currently just over a year old and we think she may be a Husky and Hound mix, but with rescue it’s always a mystery. She loves to give her foster family licks, kisses and gentle nudges to show her affection. Cayanne’s foster mom has kennel trained her, she sleeps all night with no problems! Cayanne’s foster mom also says hasn’t had any accidents in the house! She is an amazing house guest! She loves to sniff her surroundings and is so easy on the leash. Cayanne enjoys daily leashed runs and walks with her foster mom. Watch Cayanne here: https://youtu.be/zlfYbgh1QrQ?si=Q4IwREQgpqVSLTQp Cayanne is such a joy to be around, so playful and affectionate, great with dogs and kids, taking her out and about is such a pleasure. She does well in the car, stays in her place and prefers the backseat. She is still learning to fetch but loves her chew toys, and absolutely LOVES treats. Cayanne is a nature girl, she has the stamina for long walks, a love for exploring, and likes water. Cayanne is a bit of a digger, she’s easily stopped with attention and redirection- but we hope she has lots of beach days in her future, with unlimited sand-digs and lots of playing in the waves! Cayanne can be a bit shy when meeting new people. She needs to be gently introduced by letting her smell them, her personality is just a little more reserved than some. She’s a girl’s girl, more fond of women than men, but she does warm up to men over time! Cayanne is not too picky about her forever home, she’s just ready to find her forever family. Cayanne is a dog’s dog. She will need a home with another doggy friend as she thrives on doggy companionship. Cayanne does so well with children and would love to be a family dog- Cayanne has lived in a foster home with a shy, 11 year old boy and is so sweet and gentle with him. She’s met kids aged 3-17, and does well with all of them. Cayanne is still young, she will need a family that can commit to furthering her training and socialization. Cayanne is food motivated and eager to please, so training her will be enjoyable for the both of you! We are willing to test this dog with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Story
Everest MAY steal your heart and never bring it back! No, seriously, she’s a huge lover! Everest is a soft and fluffy three year-old husky mix weighing a modest 50lbs. Though with rescue we can’t guarantee any dog’s breed, age or eventual size. One of my favorite things about her is the way she turns the charm on with her bright pretty golden eyes! Fall in love with her here! Everest enjoys taking life slow and prefers playmates who share the same sentiment. In playgroups you’ll find her watching her friends play, even when they’re jumping and trotting around she prefers just sitting back and watching. She would love to find a home with a fellow introvert or to be the only dog in her home. If you know huskies very well, you know that they love to communicate. Everest is no exception and will howl to let you know when she needs to go or to share about her day. If you enjoy having communication in your life she does as well. She is crate trained and loves her personal “bedroom”. Everest needs a home without a cat as she showed too much interest during her cat test. Now, have a few kids in life? You found a pup who will love them endlessly. Everest met a toddler several times and had a blast! That may be due to the yummy chicken fingers she… tactfully acquired but, I digress! She was interrupted during snack time where a little one ran literally right in between her and the food, no reaction. That is seriously impressive! Leash walking is something that was easy for her to pick up. We walked her past a dog and practiced solo walking onsite. She has the most endearing little trot on leash beside you and throws her fluffy tail up happily. Everest would thrive in a home with a yard and plenty of human companionship. She is an all around gentle soul who would love a comfy place to land. She is crate and potty trained and does well here at Rustic! Though she may need a reminder when introduced to a new place and learns the proper areas. Adopt Everest today, she is ready to go home! We are willing to test Everest with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Please email katiak@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
Look closely and on top of his perfect Husky face, he has the cutest set of little ears you’ll ever see! This is Togo and he is such a lovely version of his perceived breed, which based on his appearance, we would say he is a husky mix. In rescue age and breed are not something we can guarantee but he is estimated to be two years old and embodies so many husky features. Although huskies can sometimes be considered aloof and detached, that is not the case for Togo. He is a loving, free-spirit, who gives gentle kisses, loves being on the couch, gets along well with other dogs, and is cat-tolerant! Gregarious, confident, and friendly-Togo is truly easy company! He would love a home with a yard for exploring and although we haven’t heard his husky-song, a little space is always encouraged with the Togo types. We introduced Togo to a handful of dogs, a variety of sizes and temperaments and is considered dog-friendly. His most natural connection was with a playful, easy-going, male. Togo could easily be a companion for your existing dog but his confident, independent nature would be perfectly suited for only-dog life. When introduced to our house-cat Tom he was uninterested, which we appreciate seeing. Togo did not display any signs of hyper-focus or attempt to chase the cat. We would consider Togo cat-tolerant and with slow introductions could easily live in a home with a feline-friend. From what we have observed Togo is both house and crate trained. Once he is home he will likely need an introduction to his home and encouragement when learning the appropriate potty places but Togo is a smart boy and will make you so proud! If you have any questions about Togo or would like us to test him for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure he is the correct fit for you and your life! Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions.
