Story
BENNETT is a people loving Husky/Malamute (best guess). He is 5 years old and 58 pounds. Everyone who has met him falls in love! He is fostered in McMinnville, Oregon and we will meet folks with screened applications partway or pall the way to Eugene, Sisters, Bend, and other Mid-Willamette Valley areas. He is a super sweet boy that spent the first 5 years of his life chained to a tree, but despite that, he has such joie de vie. He's keen to explore and learn about all the things he's missed out on. He's learning new things every day: how to "sit", "wait", "leave it" and recall, as well as leash manners. He loves car rides and is up for any adventure. He appears to be crate trained, and he keeps his kennel clean. He has been visiting in his foster home, but has not lived full time in a house, so he will need some help with the adjustment to full time house living. He does not potty or mark in the horse stall that is currently his home, so we believe he will be easy to house train. He has been neutral with other dogs, even really annoying Border Collies! He could be a great hiking/adventure buddy and could probably have fun doing dog sports like barn hunt or nosework, maybe agility or .... ? This boy is a super sweet, snuggly dog who really deserves an opportunity to make up for all he’s missed out on in his first 5 years. He has such potential! Bennett is neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, flea & tick treated and micro-chipped. He is on flea, tick and heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is 300. A great home for Bennett and his must haves include: 1. An owned home with a full size and securely six foot fenced yard. 2. Adopters who have rescue AND northern breed experience or who have researched the breed well. 3. Folks who consider their pets as family members. 4. Adopters who are up for transitioning him to be an indoor dog. We will help you! If you meet ALL the above criteria, please either inquire or apply. To inquire, please email: awoofovermyhead@gmail.com with "Bennett" in the subject line. Tell us a bit about yourself and how Bennett will fit into your life. Leave a phone number so that we may reach out. If you wish to apply directly, please complete the following application via computer or tablet: https://forms.gle/XnrpV5cfPxvwjfEu6 Non-cigarette smokers only, please. Thank you!

Hewo! Kanna here, and I am looking for a forever home! I am a confident lady who loves pets and snacks! I am still decompressing here at Heartland, so I can be shy. However if you give me some time I will want to curl up in your lap and sleep. I do have a voice and like to use it. I like to play with the dogs I have met here at Heartland, but should meet any potential siblings before I go home. If I fit with your family, ask to meet me today!

What is up my fellow kids! Koa here and I am looking for a bed to snuggle in! I am for sure a husky, and my brains and beauty make me stand out! I love to explore, go running and play fetch for hours! I love to speak my opinions, and can be stubborn, but I respond well to treats and love to sit in your lap for snuggles! I am indifferent to the dogs I have met here at Heartland, but should meet any others dogs that I may go home to. Could I be the one for you? Ask to meet me, Koa, today!

Story
Hi. I`m Freyja!! I am a sweet girl looking for a human companion I can call my best friend. I have beautiful icy blue eyes that will melt your heart. I met a few dogs at Heartland, I tolerated being around them but I prefer not to share my things. I would do best in a single-dog home with adults. I have lived with cats before and did ok. I`m a curvy lady and would love a home where I can get lots of exercise and a well-managed diet to help me live my best life. Come to Heartland to meet me in kennels. My adoption fee is $225.

Hey! I`m Kaido! I`m a young guy that is still learning how to play and interact with those around me. I`d love someone that can go to puppy classes with me and teach me some boundaries and manners. I can be shy at first, but warm up to you after a few meets. Because I`m unsure of people still, I would probably do best in an adult household. I haven`t really been on a leash before, but that just means we can take lots of walks to practice! I love to chase toys and run around the yard, but I`m still learning how to play. Maybe we can find a good toy to play with together? I`ve also met some other dogs, but I should definitely meet any dogs that might be in the home with you. Because I like to chase, I have a prey drive that might make living with cats difficult. If you think you could want a fun, loving puppy to train and go hiking with, sign me up!
