Story
Meet Roxy the rockstar! She's a siberian husky, approximately 2.5 years old. In some ways Roxy is not your average husky: she's on the lazier side. She's happy to go for a walk or hike but isn't going to destroy your house if she doesn't meet her step quota. Roxy is also very social with other dogs her size and energy level! We like to say that Roxy makes an excellent "gorge dog" because she's so versatile for the area that we live in. Roxy does have some typical husky traits: she sheds A LOT, be prepared for lots of brushing and hair explosions and she has a very high prey drive, so no kitties or small, fast-moving creatures. If you're interested in meeting Roxy, please follow the link below to fill out our adoption application. Her adoption fee is $350, which includes her spay, microchip and vaccinations. https://hoodriveradoptadog.org/adopt/adoption-process/

Story
Hello there! I'm Quavo, a 3-year-old American Husky with a zest for life and a whole lot of love to give. As a true Husky, I'm overflowing with energy and enthusiasm. Think zoomies in the yard, playful pounces, and maybe a bit of excited jumping (I'm working on that!). I'm also a curious guy, which sometimes leads to counter surfing adventures and a bit of a "mouthy" play style. Treats? Oh boy, I LOVE treats, maybe a little too much! I'm still learning my manners and could really use a family who understands my Husky quirks and is dedicated to helping me become the best boy I can be. If you're an active individual or family with a secure yard and a love for adventure, I might be the perfect furry companion for you! Just be prepared for lots of fun, some training, and a whole lot of Husky love. I should not live with cats due to my prey drive and would do best with older children. Come meet me and let's start this exciting journey together! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 50.25 Age: 3yrs 0mths 4wks

Story
Sapphire is a beautiful 5 year old Siberian Husky who needs to have a home with no other pets if possible. She does fine with passing dogs on a walk but doesn't do well if forced to interact. Cats are fun to chase so probably not the dog for someone who has cats but she's great with children. She's house trained and is a lover. Her owner is unable to care for her anymore so she is with friends but has to stay separated due to her inability to socialize with other dogs. She will need spayed and that amount is included in her adoption donation of $250. Please complete an application if you'd like to meet her.November 5, 2024, 12:47 pm

I've been in the shelter longer than most and my adoption fee has been paid by someone who loves me.Here's what you need to know about me:I'm an active dog! I would love to go home with a family who can help me burn off energy with exercise, playtime, and outdoor adventures.I have some handling sensitivity. That means I have some preferences about how and where I get petted. My human friends at the shelter can tell you more! It's recommended I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along together.I'm currently in foster and ready for my new home! If you're interested in meeting me, please email adoptions@southwesthumane.org.I'm available for Trial Adoption! If you're interested in taking me home for 2 weeks before making a final decision, please email adoptions@southwesthumane.org. Primary Color: Tri Color Weight: 66 Age: 4yrs 11mths 1wks

Great news! My adoption fee has been paid by someone who loves me and wants me to find a great home. Here's what you need to know about me:I'm easy going. Wanna go for a walk? Okay. Hang out in the yard? No problem. Just relax on the couch? I can do that. I'm pretty happy to go at your pace and I don't really need much more than most dogs do. If you're looking for a steady companion, I'm all yours. It's recommended I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along.I need a home without any cats or other small animals. I chase them and it's not safe for me to share my home or space with them.I'm available for Trial Adoption! If you're interested in taking me home for 2 weeks before making a final decision, please email adoptions@southwesthumane.org.I'm currently in foster and ready for my new home!
