Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Beautiful young adult female husky mix, smart and friendly.Meet Perla, AKA Pearl, a very sweet and friendly young female who loves to hug her humans, she will wrap her paws around you to be cuddled! Perla was abandoned at a construction site in La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico. She was young and had 4 other male dogs chasing after her, trying to mate with her. She was scared but also very friendly, and we were able to rescue her and get her vaccinated and sterilized. She is now a healthy, active girl who loves playing with other dogs, requires lots of walks/runs/hikes, and enjoys running and playing at dog parks. She's petite and portable yet has big dog energy, a gorgeous snow white coat, and one blue eye and one brown. Perla is also very smart, and has already learned how to sit for treats. She has a high drive and loves looking for birds and bunnies on her walks, and is food motivated, so we think she is very easy to train and is ready to become someone's very special dog. If you put the time in to teach her new things, there's no doubt she will surprise you with her ability to learn and become an active and very loving member of your family!  Perla is house broken, knows how to use a doggie door, and is crate trained. Story
Mordecai was found on 11/15/24 at W 11th and Van Buren in Eugene. He came into the shelter not yet neutered. If you believe this is your missing dog, please contact the shelter at (541) 689-1503. Since this dog is new to the shelter and we are still looking for their family, they are not viewable on the adoption floor at this time. The shelter staff is giving me some time to settle in and adjust to this new place. As we get to know each other a little better, the behavior team and veterinary staff will then be evaluating my needs. Please stay tuned for my updated information! Our shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable and for most dogs we are only guessing at their primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road, Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503. I have a medical release that staff can discuss with you further.** Here`s what some volunteers are saying about me: `Sweet perfect lady!` `Easy walker on leash. A mild mannered lady!` `Very nice, gentle dog` **Do you like...Dogs? I have done okay meeting a dog at the shelter, please bring any dogs in the home to meet before adoption.Cats? Unknown. Slow introductions and supervised interactions would help set us up for success.Kids? I`d like to start out meeting kiddos who can respect my space and be gentle with me. 8+Anything else you`d like us to know, Dodie? I`m a very sweet older husky lady who enjoys long walkies and telling everyone I meet about my day!I came into the shelter as a stray and the above information is all recommendations based on my behavior seen at the shelter. I have no known history. Expect to learn more about me after adoption. It is unknown how this animal will do in their new home as all animals can be different with each person. Hi, I`m Astrid! I`m about 4 years old and weigh 72 pounds.Do you like dogs? I can come on pretty strong and don`t always mesh with every dog I meet. Please bring any dogs in the home to see how we hit it off! I would do best with dogs around my size.Cats? Staff recommend I go to a kitty-free home.Kids? I can be jumpy at times and may accidentally knock over little kiddos. Please bring any kids in the home to meet. 8+Anything else you`d like us to know, Astrid? I`m a very sweet, smart, affectionate gal. I would thrive with daily mental and physical exercise!I came into the shelter as a surrender and the above information is all recommendations based on my previous history and the behavior seen at the shelter.
