Hi, meet Cali, the sweetest husky about 4-6yrs old. She has a heart full of love for humans and even cats. She would definitely need to be tested with your cat but she loved the kitty her foster had. She's picky with her doggy friends and sometimes takes a little time before she decides if she likes them, probably just a great slow introduction works best for a starting good relationship. She has a fun personality with lots of energy and is a strong girl who gets excited for playtime so maybe young kids aren't best suited for our sweet Cali as we don't want small kids getting knocked over. She would love to have an active family for hikes, walks and all the fun adventures. She would be a fabulous best friend but if there is another dog in the home, she's protective about her food and toys so keeping that separate might be best or teaching her how to share. Both are a little over 8 years old with about 3 months difference between them. Darcy is a mostly white/gray male with one blue eye and one brown/blue eye. Kapri is a female with mostly black and gray, with one blue eye and one brown eye. Darcy (40 pounds) has a thick coat that needs to be combed at least weekly. Kapri`s (30 pounds) coat is not as thick but still needs combed. They will shed. Both are high energy dogs for seniors but will settle down fairly quickly. Darcy is food motivated but not aggressive. Kapri loves to lick you, kisses hourly if you let her. Daily walks should help even out their energy level and they love to go on walks. They can eat together so no food aggression issues. They can sleep in a crate together or on your bed or floor - up to you. They are a very sweet loving pair. A little about me: I love being near my person or people and would be happiest in a home where you are with me more often than not. I am fine being home alone for several hours, though - but I do get lonely! I am not destructive and do not need to be crated while home alone. I'm also very mellow in the house and I simply love to lounge around with my person or people. I'm a big couch potato and a big cuddler! I'm also great with kids and would do well in a family with kids, even young ones. I'm also very dog and cat friendly and while I was in California (I was rescued from a shelter there), I spent my days at a doggy daycare, romping with my many friends. I do great meeting other dogs, and I'm a fun playmate! I'd probably do best in a home with another dog or with people who allow me to socialize with doggy friends. Meet our amazing fluffer boy, Kaii. He's 5-6 yrs old, 80 lbs with the most fantastic fluffy tail. He has beautiful medium energy loves to go on walks, hikes and ready for all adventures. He's a big fan of his squeaky ball, belly rubs and his treats are a must! This smart boy will sit, shake and lay down on command and will surely learn more with treats and training. Kaii can be selective with dogs, especially males, so it's probably best he be a solo dog in the home. Here’s what Kaii’s foster has to say about him, “Kai is a lover. He mostly likes to snuggle or relax but loves his ball and squeaky toys too. He gets a little scared if he is sleeping and is reached towards so talking to him first is the best way to go. He gets a little jealous of other animals after he gets comfortable so being the only dog might the best for him. He does not like cats and has a stong prey drive. He isnt really an escape artist and doesnt try to hop fences or dig but will go for a run if the front door is left open. He has so much love to give and is a pretty great dog. Doesnt seem to have separation anxiety and just chills out. I do great with older kids but due to my getting scared if woke up out of a sleep, a home with older kids would be a better fit. He has been staying (fostered) in a home with kids from 12 to 18.” He would be an awesome best friend to have by your side so get your application in ASAP. Meet the adorable 4yr old boy, Scooby! He's had a rough life and is still the sweetest boy with the best demeanor. He was rescued from the euthanasia list and had a few medical issues that we were happy to step up and pay for and he's on the road to recovery. He also has a slight heart murmur but that could be due to him being 18lbs under weight. He's a big boy who should weigh 80lbs and currently at 62lbs. He was at 53lbs at the shelter and he's loving all the attention, food and love he's getting in his temporary foster home. He deserves the world cuz he is such a kind soul, calm, submissive and docile. He's so special and he's the kind of dog you instantly are drawn to that will melt your heart. He's dog friendly and people friendly and he's ready to love you! He's neutered, vaccinated and chipped and he's waiting for an amazing forever home this time around. I'm almost 2 but never really had the chance to know what it truly means to be a puppy. I came from a breeder where the conditions were awful but my new folks rescued me and are teaching me how to be a puppy. Dad says I get better everyday. I was severly underweight but am making up for lost time. I've discovered I like to go to the river getting to know my cat sibling better and we're actually able to play as long as I mind my manners and not forget that I am way bigger than her. I love to watch the neighborhood go by as I lie in dad's office so I make a good office buddy. I love to go on walks and do pretty good on the leash. I am a fairly high energy girl with a stubborn streak. So, a typical Mal. I'm learning to like people and all the attention I get. I can be a bit of a klutz as I tend to forget I'm a big girl which can be funny at times. I know a few basic commands but learning more all the time.
