Story
We got him from a shelter 4.5 years ago. When we ot him, they said he was 5 but not 100% sure of his age. My husband just accepted a job in Okinawa Japan and we cannot take him with us. We suspect that he was abused and has come a long way since then. He gets along well with another dog we have. He is sweet and loving and full of energy. He definitely resource guards, he will chew anything leather that is left laying around but doesn't really destroy anything else. He can be aggressive if you grab his collar (he does not do it to me but he does to others). He benefits from positive reinforcemnet. He will growl and nip if startled such as someone quickly grabbing at him. He is definitely better in a family with older or no kids. (He gets along fine with my kids over 8 but is weary of my 2 year old) Will come with harness, leash, dog bed, and crate.

Story
Meet Rocky. Saved from an overcrowded shelter in southern OH. A great dog. Rocky appears to maybe a Husky/Shepherd mix. He is about 2 years old and 50 lbs. Rocky appears to be dog friendly. We will get an idea soon on how he is with cats. He will need regular exercise and would be great as a jogging partner. Rocky is neutered, up to date on vaccines and is heart worm negative. He did test positive for Lyme but has no clinical signs. He is in doxycycline for a month as a precaution but no further treatment will be needed. His adoption fee is $180. If interested in Rocky, please email hartmanshounds@gmail.com. February 26, 2025, 12:35 pm

Story
Miss Naomi. Siberian Husky. Possibly a hybrid. She has piercing hazel-blue eyes and unique facial features/markings. She is spunky and fun. Naomi has a neat personality, knows some commands, Loves snacks and belly rubs. When she connects with you she connects. She has been nothing but gentle and sweet with us at the shelter. Gets super excited when she sees us but can be leery of strangers. She has met other dogs and did well. She also met a cat at the vet and was non reactive (but she was very afraid and stressed at the vet so this may have caused her to be disconnected).Naomi is underweight. We are working on that at the shelter. She was found on 7/3/2023 with No collar, No ID, No Microchip in Westfield Township.Morrow County Dog Shelter, Mt. Story
year-old, 29lb bundle of energy, always ready to play and learn new things. I'm quite the smarty-pants, you know. I've mastered a few commands already! But don't worry, I know when to mellow out and enjoy a good cuddle. I'm energetic, brave and gentle, always by your side. I love making friends, especially with other dogs, but cats aren't really my thing, but that's okay because I have so much love to give to everyone else! I love to go for walks, runs and any activity that is as active as my energy level. I'm a loyal companion, I'll make you laugh with my funny antics and my sweet nature will melt your heart. Adopting me means gaining a forever friend, running partner, playing until your arm falls off friend, who will love you unconditionally and brighten your days with laughter and love. Come fall in love with me at the Morrow County Dog Shelter, Mt. Gilead, OH or call 419-946-1747 for more info on me. If I’m not the perfect match for you, please share me to help find my forever home!January 6, 2025, 1:00 pm

Bella is a offspring from the first litter our momma had. Due to our growing family we’re unable to keep up with them all. Looking for a loving home and plenty of space to run around. Great with kids, been around kids since birth.
