Story
ANJA (pronounced AnYa) is a beautiful, approx 3 yr young, extremely playful, Siberian Husky, spayed female, abt 56lbs, fully vaccinated and house trained. She ENJOYS dog parks and/or doggie day care and would make a GREAT running, hiking, jogging or biking partner. PLAYTIME (any exercise) is an important routine for this girl; she THRIVES on playtime … especially a game of fetch ! And we know “A tired dog is a good dog !” ANJA is SMART with a strong Playful nature & Independent. She KNOWS how to sit and shake AND is learning the command “wait”. ANJA LOVES car rides and walks pretty well on leash (esp for a husky) and… She LIKES kids but would do BEST w/adult only home. ANJA lives with other dogs but none that are tolerant of her consistent playful nature. ANJA is not super strong willed like most huskies; ironically. she'll complain but usually will give in...unless it's a TOY she's protecting, then it is BEST to trade a higher value treat in order to get the toy away. Anja is energetic and vocal; she will let you know if she’s happy, mad, or bored. She can be an escape artist if bored enough; so, a home with a large fenced yard (preferably 6ft) or a long runner is definitely required. Protecting her yard from squirrels or any small critter is important to her ;-) This girl was saved from being euthanized at a county shelter in Dec 2023; she is now searching for a family that can provide her with the TLC , PLAY or EXERCISE she needs to be her best ! She is currently living in Kettering, OH area. For any questions, please EMAIL Elizabeth at Eannepac@gmail.com Adoption application is available online: Visit the ADOPTME page at Dream4pets.org

Story
Hi! My name is Judge. I was surrendered to the shelter with my brother Jacoby by a backyard breeder at only 5 weeks old. I’m getting to be a big boy now and am ready to find my family. I am a typical puppy and don’t have an off switch. I can get very vocal but it's just because I have so much to say! I love to explore and get into things. I have had a great start at socialization and am very brave in new experiences. My favorite past time is digging holes and climbing on things. I am crate trained and am working very hard on learning my commands. I'm good at sharing my toys and even do good with the cat! My new family must understand my needs and what it will take to make me a happy, well adjusted adult. Daily vigorous exercise, and exposure to new things is a must. I'm going to be a big boy. Right now I’m all legs and ears, but that won’t last long. I am still young and working very hard my house training (so I may still have accidents). ADOPTION FEE: $350 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained) I AM READY TO GO HOME!! If you are approved to be my new family, a hold fee of $100 is required and will be applied to the full adoption fee of $350 when MVPC comes to visit your house with me! ADOPTER: Dog experience BIRTHDAY: 5/28/2024 FENCE: Required (an electric fence is not an acceptable form of containment) DOG FRIENDLY: Yes DOGS IN HOME: Yes CATS: Yes CHILDREN: Yes, 8 and over INQUIRIES: ALL inquiries begin with a submitted adoption application, which is found on our website, www.miamivalleypitcrew.com. We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25. DO NOT: USE THE PETFINDER INQUIRY/CONTACT/ADOPT BUTTONS--we are unable to monitor those and you will not receive a response. PLEASE NOTE: We are volunteer based and a home visit is required; we have a two-hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Exceptions for our ADULT dogs only, though rare, may be made on a case-by-case basis but we must be able to do a home visit. Thank you for your understanding!

Story
Meet Quasimodo … aka Quasi, he’s a 5-6 month old husky mix. We named him Quasimodo because he had a little bit of a hunched back lol turns out he doesn’t really have a hunchback but instead, he kind of has two necks… it doesn’t seem to bother him as he acts like a total normal puppy. He’s been to four different veterinarians to be examined so it is just going to remain something special about him. That’s not the only unique thing about him though! He also has a little heart condition that is most common in cats so you get a two for one … a cat dog . Due to the heart condition he will have to be on heart meds for the rest of his life and will need to see a cardiologist at least once a year to keep track of condition. Even though he’s a cute hot mess you would never know because he functions and acts like a typical puppy. He loves everyone and other dogs. He enjoys car rides and visiting places. He does well walking on a harness and he thinks everyone should say Hi to him and give him kisses.  So if you are looking for a husky mix that’s low energy, that loves everyone and everything, that loves water and car rides … look no further.  All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   November 5, 2024, 10:18 pm
