Story
Timber was transferred in from a local dog warden. He is VERY shy at first with people but does warm up very well. He loves other young dogs and follows their lead to show him how great people can be! He is okay with kids but would do better in a home with ages 10+! I think he could adjust to younger, but would be better suited for a less chaotic home at this point in life. He is very playful and does need to be with other dogs. He could run for hours with his foster dog friends! He will require a fenced in yard due to fear of leash. This is also something we are working on. He is crate trained and does very well in it. He’s not as vocal as your typical husky! He is a very loving guy once you put some time and patience into him. He stays right by your side and loves to be close to you! Give him a chance and you will be inseparable! Adoption Application: https://www.nickensfamilyrescue.com/adoptionapplication

Story
*Adoption Sponsored!**THIS PET IS IN FOSTER.Meet Tots! After 12 years of a lifetime, this Senior just loves his naps! While he first came in with and loves his brother Butter, he does enjoy the quiet from his more talkative brother. If you’re a couch potato, ready for a good nap after work, or down for a nice slow scenic stroll. Tots may be the one for you! This pet is in foster, please give us a call to schedule a time to meet them! Some of Tot's favorites: Scenic walks Cuddle time Soft & Fluffy Doggy Beds 3 Minute Sprints Yummy Treats Old Man Naps Kids: Tots enjoys kids of all ages, but because of his age, those older than ten would be best.   Dogs: We’re not sure if Tots like other dogs but does have an intolerance with high energy dogs. We advise caution and patience during any introductions.   Cats: We aren’t sure how they boys are with cats, but they did come in with a kitty friend ##2339494##

Story
*Adoption Sponsored**At 8 years old, Butter is the perfect addition to a cozy movie night in. He prefers the occasional walk, mostly with things to sniff, or perhaps a brief jog if he’s feelin funky. He’s not a huge fan of being outdoors alone and will let you know when he’s ready to come back inside and take his rightful place mostly on your lap but a little bit on the couch.  Kids: We’re not sure if Butter like kids, but he’d probably do best with kids 12 and older due to his age Dogs: We’re not sure if he likes other dogs but so far he doesn’t seem to mind them. We advise caution and paitence during any introductions. Cats: We aren’t sure how Butter does with cats, but he did come in with a kitty friend Butters Favorite things:EatingCuddle timeLicking FacesPeanut ButterPlaying in Water (or his water dish)Beef Liver TreatsGoodnight Kisses If you're interested in this talkative man, you can learn more at wchumane.org/adopt, or contact us at wchsadopt@gmail.com, or (419)352-7339 ##2339456##

Story
Introducing Camel! Camel is a purebred Direwolf brought back from extinction… just kidding! He’s just a plain ol’ husky (mix?)! He’s around ten months old and has grown up with another dog in the home. We were told by his previous owner that he’s playful with other dogs, but he is NOT good with cats or other small critters and will need a home without them. Camel is protective over his food, so any kids and/or dogs at home will need to leave him alone while he eats. Camel is a stunning dog! He has already been neutered and is ready to meet his new family!Intake notes: needs regular grooming, needs a lot of exercise, barks when left alone, digs, mouthy, afraid of loud noises, chews, likes dogs, likes kids, likes riding in cars, previously kept indoors, noisy, energetic, friendly, playfulMore information? Story
Meet Chocolate! Chocolate had a pretty crappy start to life (literally). His owner moved out and left him behind, locked in a disgusting crate for WEEKS before he was found and brought in as a humane case. Chocolate is as happy and carefree as they come. He’s energetic and honestly pretty obnoxious at first but will calm down after he’s out of his kennel for a little while. Chocolate was skin and bone when he came to us. Due to his history with food insecurity, he will need to be fed away from other animals in the home, and any kids in the home should leave him alone while he eats. He now weighs a healthy 55-60 lbs and we would guess he’s around two years old. Chocolate needs a home where he can burn off some energy. He pulls hard on a leash, but with the right harness and some consistent exercise he will make a great companion!
