Story
Miss Naomi. Siberian Husky. Possibly a hybrid. She has piercing hazel-blue eyes and unique facial features/markings. She is spunky and fun. Naomi has a neat personality, knows some commands, Loves snacks and belly rubs. When she connects with you she connects. She has been nothing but gentle and sweet with us at the shelter. Gets super excited when she sees us but can be leery of strangers. She has met other dogs and did well. She also met a cat at the vet and was non reactive (but she was very afraid and stressed at the vet so this may have caused her to be disconnected).Naomi is underweight. We are working on that at the shelter. She was found on 7/3/2023 with No collar, No ID, No Microchip in Westfield Township.Morrow County Dog Shelter, Mt. Story
Introducing Camel! Camel is a purebred Direwolf brought back from extinction… just kidding! He’s just a plain ol’ husky (mix?)! He’s around ten months old and has grown up with another dog in the home. We were told by his previous owner that he’s playful with other dogs, but he is NOT good with cats or other small critters and will need a home without them. Camel is protective over his food, so any kids and/or dogs at home will need to leave him alone while he eats. Camel is a stunning dog! He has already been neutered and is ready to meet his new family!Intake notes: needs regular grooming, needs a lot of exercise, barks when left alone, digs, mouthy, afraid of loud noises, chews, likes dogs, likes kids, likes riding in cars, previously kept indoors, noisy, energetic, friendly, playfulMore information? Story
Kyra is a stunning 7-year-old Husky with a gentle spirit and a heart full of love. Recently returned after an adoption, she’s now searching again for a forever home — one that understands the power of patience and kindness. Like many dogs who have been used for breeding, Kyra is still learning to trust. She’s slow to warm up to new people, but once she feels safe, she reveals her affectionate side. When she saw us again, she quietly sat next to us and leaned in for love — a small moment that spoke volumes. Kyra absolutely loves other dogs and would do best in a home with canine companions who can help build her confidence. She’ll need continued work on potty training and gentle guidance as she adjusts to life in a loving home. With the right person or family, Kyra will blossom. All she needs is someone willing to go at her pace and give her the time she deserves. If you have a soft spot for shy dogs and a heart ready to help one bloom, Kyra just might be your perfect match.

Story
Meet Arlo, a breathtaking 7-year-old, all-white Husky with a personality as peaceful as a quiet snowfall. He’s laid-back, gentle, and truly just an all-around wonderful dog. He walks beautifully on a leash, enjoys meeting people, and brings a calm presence wherever he goes. Arlo was surrendered to a veterinary clinic, and while we don’t know the full story behind why, we know this: he didn’t deserve to be left behind. During his intake, he tested positive for Lyme disease—a condition that is being treated and managed. Thanks to the compassion of the clinic and rescuers, Arlo was given a second chance instead of being euthanized. And what a gift that was—because Arlo is genuinely a great dog. He’s easy to be around, affectionate without being overwhelming, and simply wants to be near his people. He’s not demanding or high-energy like many Huskies—he’s in his mellow years and just wants a peaceful, loving home to call his own. Arlo’s been through a lot, but he hasn’t lost his gentle spirit. He’s ready to love and be loved. Now all he needs is someone to give him the forever home he’s always deserved.
