Story
Ziggy is a 5-year-1-month old Siberian Husky weighing 70 pounds. He came to the shelter due to his owner no longer being able to care for him. If you've never had a husky please do your homework before adopting one! Ziggy can be aloof when you first meet him. Time and attention will have him in your lap. He loves squeaky toys and plays well by himself. Is unsure with playing outside, tug or fetch are unknown to him. He is excited for walks but needs leash training and overall training in basic manners. He's very stubborn, (typical husky behavior)) knows commands but does what he pleases. Does well with strangers and car rides. Treat motivated & housebroken. Very fearful of veterinarian handling-sedation recommended. Due to his size, no small children, he will easily knock them over in his eagerness to play. His adoption fee is $150, this includes his neuter, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. His dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $21.00. Please visit the shelter to meet him, we show dogs Monday through Friday 1pm-4:30pm and Saturday 1pm-3:30pm. Once you have visited the shelter, you are then eligible to submit an adoption application for review. Please note, we do not offer same day adoptions and there is a $10 non-refundable application fee.Come and meet your new best friend today! The Humane Society of Sandusky County is open Monday -Friday 1pm - 5pm and Saturdays from 1pm - 4pm. Also, be sure to check us out on FaceBook!

Story
Timber was transferred in from a local dog warden. He is VERY shy with people but loves other young dogs! He is okay with kids but is very afraid of young children who are loud or moving quickly often. I think he could adjust, but would be better suited for a less chaotic home. He is very playful and loves other dogs. He could run for hours with his foster dog friends! It takes him awhile to warm up to people. He will require a fenced in yard due to fear of leash.

Story
Hello! This is Bane and Shadow, they are brothers from the same litter! They are absolutely best friends and I would like to keep them together. Bane is black and white and Shadow is the gray and white husky. They were born April 14, 2022. They are up to date on shots (I printed out shot records), they are neutered and have been microchipped. I hate to have to let my boys go but they deserve to have a big yard to run and play in. My son is severely allergic to them both, which is why I have to look for a new home. They love to play and wrestle, just like any dog would! They do get along with other dogs. I have a Morkie at home and they would even play with her (mainly Bane). Shadow is chill and laid back, Bane is more hyper compared to the two. I'm charging the rehome fee for both dogs together, I just dont want my boys to go to any home, $300 is for the both. I do have videos if you'd like to see more
