Story
Hi, I’m Koda.I might not be the first one to run up to you with wiggly tail wags and kisses, but if you’re patient, I promise I’ll be the one who steals your heart. I’m a Husky mix who came to FDHS with my brother Kenai, and this whole “shelter life” thing is still pretty new and a little overwhelming for me.I’m on the shy side, the kind of pup who likes to take things slow. Loud noises? Fast movements? They’re not really my style. But if you give me time to warm up, you’ll see the real me—the sweet, soft boy who just wants to feel safe, loved, and understood.I’m still learning how to do big-kid things like walking on a leash, but I’m trying my best, and I get a little braver every day. I just know that with someone gentle and kind to guide me, I’ll grow into the confident pup I’m meant to be.So, if you’re looking for a pup who needs a little extra love to bloom, I think we might be perfect for each other. Apply for me and let's see if we are a good match!

Story
Oh Sarge, you handsome boy. Sargent is a two year old husky pointer mix that came to us as an owner surrender. His owner was heartbroken to give Sargent up, but sometimes life throws some curve balls, and we were happy to take this sweet boy. Sarge is sure missing his people, and he is quite sad at the shelter. He is good with the other dogs and so patient with the hyper ones. He is also great with cats and with kids. He’s just a sweet boy who wants nothing more than to have a family of his own again. His ideal home would have some parents that are home a lot. He loves company. Sargent’s adoption fee is $400. It includes his neuter, updated vaccinations, deworming, flea and tick prevention, and heartworm test and prevention. 🐾To come meet Sarge, please fill out our application at the link below: https://fchsohio.org/adopt-form/

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Bella!  *Her adoption fee is $350.00. *She is believed to be a 1 year old Husky/German Shepherd mix.*Bella is a goofy, very loving, and playful pup!*She is a smart & sweet-natured girl.*She loves playing ball and enjoys her chew toys. *The Husky breed is known for being little Houdini's when it comes to escaping things!!  So, a fenced in yard is required.*Bella would love to have another dog companion in the home, but she does not do well with dominant females.*She is very people shy and can take some time to warm up.* Bella has been great around the little ones that visit. *Bella knows her basic commands including shake & high five. She does well on her leash and travels well! *To be her most successful self she will definitely need continued socialization and obedience training.*Bella is looking for a family that has the time and patience to work with her and understand that while she isn't all the way there yet, she will be a great dog with consistency.  *The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 13 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary.  The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heartworm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. He will go home with a collar, leash, and vaccination record.
