Story
Miss Naomi. Siberian Husky. Possibly a hybrid. She has piercing hazel-blue eyes and unique facial features/markings. She is spunky and fun. Naomi has a neat personality, knows some commands, Loves snacks and belly rubs. When she connects with you she connects. She has been nothing but gentle and sweet with us at the shelter. Gets super excited when she sees us but can be leery of strangers. She has met other dogs and did well. She also met a cat at the vet and was non reactive (but she was very afraid and stressed at the vet so this may have caused her to be disconnected).Naomi is underweight. We are working on that at the shelter. She was found on 7/3/2023 with No collar, No ID, No Microchip in Westfield Township.Morrow County Dog Shelter, Mt. Gilead, OH. 419-946-1747October 15, 2024, 4:28 pm

Story
Meet Breece, the playful and energetic white Husky! With a tail that curls cutely over his back and the brightest light blue eyes that sparkle with curiosity and excitement, how could you not fall in love! Breece is still a puppy, and his boundless energy and love for adventure make him the perfect companion for an active family. Breece is a social boy who absolutely loves people—he’s great with kids and adores being around his favorite humans. His playful personality makes him an ideal playmate for children who can keep up with his lively spirit. Whether it’s a game of fetch, a run around the yard, or simply cuddling after a long day of play, Breece is always ready for a good time. Breece is also fantastic with other dogs and would be more than happy to have a doggy companion in his new home. He thrives when he has a buddy to run and play with, so if you already have a dog, Breece would be thrilled to join the fun. His playful and friendly nature means he’ll make friends quickly, and he’s eager to share his love and energy with anyone who’s ready to match his enthusiasm. As a young, active Husky, Breece needs plenty of physical and mental stimulation to keep him happy. He’d thrive in a home where he has lots of activities, playtime, and perhaps even a big yard to explore. A daily run, interactive toys, or even some interactive training would be right up his alley! Breece is already neutered and ready to find his forever home. He’s waiting for a loving family who can keep up with his high energy, enjoy his playful antics, and give him all the love he deserves. If you’re looking for an energetic, affectionate, and fun-loving companion, Breece might be the perfect fit for you! Come meet this sweet, spirited boy and see if he’s the right addition to your family.

Story
Sassy is currently at county pound but we will pull her if we can find a foster.Sassy and 8 other dogs were taken from abusive owners. Prior to being seized, Sassy lived indoors and never went outside. We have a volunteer who has gone to the shelter and has taken Sassy for walks and reports that Sassy is a wonderful dog! She is good on a leash and loves belly rubs.Sassy needs to be on a strong leash at all times. She gets spooked easily (remember, all of this is new to her) by cars, loud noises, etc.Sassy is approximately 40 pounds. She has been spayed. Sassy lived with dozens of cats prior to being seized and taken to the shelter.Apply to foster Sassy and help her learn to trust people and gain confidence at ricopetrecovery.org

Story
Duchess is a 5 year old, 42lb husky who came to CHA from one of our partner shelters. Duchess is a survivor, as she was diagnosed with heartworm when she arrived at our shelter. Now, thanks to the efforts of our veterinary staff, she is officially heartworm free! Duchess is a very social girl who always greets her caretakers in the morning with bright eyes and a wagging tail. She loves going for long walks and is very well-behaved on leash, and would make the perfect hiking buddy! Duchess is a husky, and like all huskies she displays an elevated prey drive and high energy levels so she will need a forever home that is willing to accommodate those factors. If you are looking for a friendly and energetic girl to fill your life with tail wags and cuddles, come out and meet Duchess today!
