Story
Hi there! I’m Regency, but you can call me CeCe, Good Girl, or Beautiful! I’m a super friendly, 4-month-old “Husky” mix. People always comment on how pretty my eyes are, but it’s my loving personality that really draws them in! Here are some other things you might like to know: -I sleep well in my crate, and it’s like my own personal space, so I’m cool with hanging out there for a bit if you need me to. -I walk well on my leash, especially with a cute harness.  -I’m in the puppy stage, so lots of toys are a plus. I’m really good about knowing what is and isn’t a toy too! -I get along great with my foster siblings, even though I have more puppy energy than them right now. I’d love to have another dog that shares my energy, but I’m just as happy to have parents that have a fun lifestyle that includes me! -Cats are cool, but they’re not playful enough for me, so I just ignore them. -I’m getting better at my commands. I will sit for treats, and I promise to learn more if you train me! -I don’t bark much, usually just if I’m playing with my foster brother. I’d love for you to apply to adopt me. I can come check out your place. Let’s get to know each other better and become the best of pals! It will be perfect! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   February 5, 2025, 10:09 pm

Story
Hi! My name is Judge. I was surrendered to the shelter with my brother Jacoby by a backyard breeder at only 5 weeks old. I’m getting to be a big boy now and am ready to find my family. I am a typical puppy and don’t have an off switch. I can get very vocal but it's just because I have so much to say! I love to explore and get into things. I have had a great start at socialization and am very brave in new experiences. My favorite past time is digging holes and climbing on things. I am crate trained and am working very hard on learning my commands. I'm good at sharing my toys and even do good with the cat! My new family must understand my needs and what it will take to make me a happy, well adjusted adult. Daily vigorous exercise, and exposure to new things is a must. I'm going to be a big boy. Right now I’m all legs and ears, but that won’t last long. I am still young and working very hard my house training (so I may still have accidents). ADOPTION FEE: $350 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained) ADOPTER: Dog experience BIRTHDAY: 5/28/2024 FENCE: Required (an electric fence is not an acceptable form of containment) DOG FRIENDLY: Yes DOGS IN HOME: Required CATS: Yes CHILDREN: Yes, 8 and over I AM READY TO GO HOME!! If you are approved to be my new family, a hold fee of $100 is required and will be applied to the full adoption fee of $350 when MVPC comes to visit your house with me! ***WE DO NOT HOLD DOGS. IF YOU ARE GOING ON VACATION OR ARE NOT YET READY TO PROCEED PLEASE APPLY WHEN YOU ARE.*** INQUIRIES: ALL inquiries begin with a submitted adoption application, which is found on our website, www.miamivalleypitcrew.com. We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25. DO NOT: USE THE PETFINDER INQUIRY/CONTACT/ADOPT BUTTONS--we are unable to monitor those and you will not receive a response. PLEASE NOTE: We are volunteer based and a home visit is required; we have a two-hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Exceptions for our ADULT dogs only, though rare, may be made on a case-by-case basis but we must be able to do a home visit. Thank you for your understanding!

Story
Cher, Madonna, Beyoncé, Gaga, all one named lady icons; now meet Twyla. A year old sassy new star, ready for her big break. Twyla has a luscious black coat with complimentary light tan markings and bright brown eyes, perfect for bribing you into extra treats. 44 lbs and a bit more growth to go, she is a happy and energetic young lady who thinks she is everyone's friend. She is proven to be friendly with kids and other dogs if not a little eager. Cats at this time are unknown. Her lovely coat and markings, along with some personality characteristics, would suggest Twyla to be a Husky/ Shepherd mix. A home with a yard and active family would be a best fit. She is smart and will let you know if she is bored or displeased. Consistency will be yours and Twyla's key to success. Speaking of success, Twyla is picking up on basic commands, potty training, and crate training (much to her Chagrin). Twyla prefers a good blankie to stretch out on much more, and let's not forget the belly rubs. Leash training is going well, but as most youngsters, she's easily distracted right now. After a hard day of playing and learning she enjoys a good snuggle, and wants to be with people. Twyla comes spayed, chipped, and treated. She is currently on some medication to help her be her best girl. It is $285 for her adoption fee. With the right start and lots of love, Twyla can be the star of your life for many years to come. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.

Story
Harlow is used to getting what she wants--just look at those baby blues and long lashes! But you know what Harlow wants most? A family to call her own! If the month of love has you feeling inspired...why not adopt a furry valentine this year? Harlow just knows that her winning, playful personality will make her an excellent companion to a family with dogs, cats, or kids! (Although she doesn't understand why her feline friends aren't eager to play with her--what's that all about, anyway?!) Harlow knows the lay of the land and is pretty self-sufficient--she uses the doggie door to do her business in private. Harlow hopes that her new family will give her lots of belly rubs and let her take as many naps as her little heart desires--which should be pretty easy, considering she has the softest fur ever. At the end of the night, Harlow is happy to settle quietly into her crate. She's quite intelligent and has already mastered the sit command. Her only flaw is that she can't make it through the night without peeing on her crate--but that's hardly her fault. Doesn't anyone know how tiny puppy bladders are!? Has Harlow stolen your heart? Apply to adopt her today at www.pawpatrol.com! She is microchipped, spayed, and up to date on her vaccinations. Harlow is a husky/shepherd mix and her adoption fee is $360. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.

Story
Purchased him from the Amish Community when he was 9 weeks old. Clancy has a fun personality. He loves to play with toys and run around. Clancy does not do well with cats but does well with other dogs. Clancy loves to lay on your lap. He is house trained but not crate trained. Clancy would fit well with someone who has a yard he can run around in. He does well with older kids but has never been around toddlers. He loves treats and all other types of food! He has high energy!

Story
Meet Avi! He is the true meaning of rescue. Avi used to live with an abusive owner, until we changed his path! He has come so far, and has been clicker trained, but is still healing and will need a patient adopter who is willing to continue his training. He is about 9 years old and weighs around 55 lbs. He loves everyone he meets, but is not good with children or cats, and doesn't understand why they move so fast. He is slow to trust, but very playful and affectionate once he knows he is safe. Avi will jump a fence that is smaller than 6 ft tall, and will need long daily walks. He currently lives with and loves his boxer bulldog mix foster brother, but knows he is the pretty one! A home with another playful husky or other dog similar in size would be ideal! HUSKY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. CANNOT BE PLACED WITH CHILDREN OR CATS. If you want to be a part of Avi's recovery and future, and are willing to invest in long term training, apply for him today! His adoption fee is $25. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LOUC/Dog All of our animals come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and Bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
