Meet Sasha, a 2.5 year old Siberian Husky. She loves her people and greets them with a waggy tail and sloppy kisses. Car rides are her favorite activity, and she will sit quietly in the seat gazing out the window as she dreams of running along-side the car! Whenever there is a car involved, she is the first one in when the door opens! She likes to play with toys, but quickly will get bored with the activity unless you change it up. Long walks are always anticipated and she will practically put her own harness on. She is crate trained and can demonstrate the basic commands, although, she is a husky, so obeying the commands isn't always 100% because huskies are stubborn! Wrestling with her people is one of her favorite things. She typically isn't destructive except for items like remotes, pens, pencils, and earplugs that are lying around. This girl is an extremely picky eater. She does respond to treats, but they have to be Sasha-approved! She's been known to turn her nose up at food to try to get you to give her what she wants. At bedtime, she goes straight to her crate to sleep, but also enjoys sleeping on a dog cot in her owner's room. Sasha is in need of the perfect home that has no small children for the duration of her life. She is currently in a family with 3 children , the youngest being 8, and gets nervous when kids are around. There have been instances of nipping/biting out of anxiety and resource guarding. As of now, we do not know if she can be around other animal companions. She struggles with fear and will lash out if she is anxious. At 2.5 years old, this beautiful girl needs to find someone experienced with her breed. She needs to have a fenced in yard to keep wandering animals out of her space and to protect children that could be walking by.
