Story
Meet Avi! He is the true meaning of rescue. Avi used to live with an abusive owner, until we changed his path! He has come so far, and has been clicker trained, but is still healing and will need a patient adopter who is willing to continue his training. He is about 9 years old and weighs around 55 lbs. He loves everyone he meets, but is not good with children or cats, and doesn't understand why they move so fast. He is slow to trust, but very playful and affectionate once he knows he is safe. Avi will jump a fence that is smaller than 6 ft tall, and will need long daily walks. He currently lives with and loves his boxer bulldog mix foster brother, but knows he is the pretty one! A home with another playful husky or other dog similar in size would be ideal! HUSKY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. CANNOT BE PLACED WITH CHILDREN OR CATS. If you want to be a part of Avi's recovery and future, and are willing to invest in long term training, apply for him today! His adoption fee is $25. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LOUC/Dog All of our animals come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and Bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
This derpy, fluffy sir goes by Zeus, but he will also answer to Bubba sometimes. True to his combination of breeds, he is both super derpy, and super fluffy, but extremely loving! He loves anything and everything that involves: running, cold/snow, cages (weird, but he loves his indoor or outdoor cages), and general attention. Zeus is a gentle giant that is good with animals and people of all sizes. He is around 4 years old, close to 5. Overall he is a pretty gentle and calm dog around others after the excitement wears off.

Story
Thor is about 6.5 months old now and is honestly very sweet. I got the little guy from the family member of a close friend so I figured everything should be fine. Overall, he is a very good dog, but extremely skittish. Like scared of everything, even me. I feel like he just needs someone that can be with him a lot more through the day and he will break out of his shell and be one of the fun-loving husky's that we know and love. From what I can tell the previous owner who had both mother and father were pretty good with dogs and wouldn't have abused him or anything, but I work a lot. 10-hour days, on top of being a community event planner and small business owner. My girlfriend isn't much help either, so another home with more time to spend with him would be in his best interest. He's not very vocal like most husky's, he 'talks' a little but mostly when he is ready to be let outside. I will give his XL cage, toys, paperwork, and any food left to his new owners as well.
