Meet Avi! He is the true meaning of rescue. Avi used to live with an abusive owner, until we changed his path! He has come so far, and has been clicker trained, but is still healing and will need a patient adopter who is willing to continue his training. He is about 9 years old and weighs around 55 lbs. He loves everyone he meets, but is not good with children or cats, and doesn't understand why they move so fast. He is slow to trust, but very playful and affectionate once he knows he is safe. Avi will jump a fence that is smaller than 6 ft tall, and will need long daily walks. He currently lives with and loves his boxer bulldog mix foster brother, but knows he is the pretty one! A home with another playful husky or other dog similar in size would be ideal! HUSKY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. CANNOT BE PLACED WITH CHILDREN OR CATS. Mika is a beautiful 2 year old Alaskian Malamute that I agreed to foster for a friend. I feel like I should start with Mika's cons. She is food and toy aggresive. Which is why I have her listed as not dog friendly (she's improving). I have 3 male dogs and she plays with them amazingly outside when toys aren't involved, but inside she gets possesive/aggressive over her food and toys. She is also a chewer so it is encouraged to crate her when nobody is home. She is counter thief as well. Mika's pros: She is super human friendly. Seriously the biggest lover girl ever. She is potty trained. She is crate trained, although she will flop every now and again when you try to tell her to get in it. She is a vibe!! I believe Mika would do best with an experienced owner that has the time to work with her on her aggression. Will come with crate, bowls, food, collar, leash and toys!
