Story
HANDSOME PANTS ALERT! Meet our handsome Odie. Odie is a 4-year-old male husky that weighs 57 pounds. DOB is 12-26-20. Odie was found as a stray in Parma. Odie has beautiful pale blue eyes. He is a typical husky that enjoys running around in our fenced in areas. He is fluent in husky—he woo-woos, howls and sings to you. He is a high energy boy who can pull on leash, especially when he sees a little animal run by. He knows the following commands of “sit, shake, and speak.” He enjoys all attention and will remind you to keep petting him if you stop. Odie will thrive in an active home with a fenced-in yard where he can run and play to his heart’s content. He is friendly, outgoing, and a happy boy. He is a sucker for all treats and bones. Odie is reported to be good with children. Odie is dog friendly with dogs his size or larger. No small dogs, cats, or rabbits for this big guy. Even though he does not like the crate, he will need to be crated if left alone for a long period of time. He is housetrained but will mark. Once he is neutered, that should resolve the marking. If you have dogs, a meet and greet is required. Odie is available for our foster to adopt program means you can foster him in your home until he has completed all his vetting which includes neuter, vaccinations, microchip and heartworm testing. If you are interested in adding this good boy to your home, please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and fill out a dog adoption application online to meet our big boy. Odie’s adoption fee is $160.

Story
Odie is a very sweet dog. He’s 4 years old and still has plenty of energy. I unfortunately had to relocate and don’t have the room for him to roam the way he deserves to. He is great with people and kids. He cannot be in a house with small pets, but he does great with bigger dogs. He is a very playful and loving dog.

Story
Novak was abandoned by his family at age 12. We have been fostering him for the past 3 weeks. He is so sweet and loving with humans. He loves to cuddle and be with people. He does not get along with our 2 dogs so we can’t keep him. He has lots of pep in his step. He walks well on the leash and loves to go for walks. He rides very well in the car and really enjoys it. He is husky so he tends to be a runner so a fenced in yard would probably be best unless you have the time to walk him. He is fine all day while we are at work without any problems. He doesn’t get into anything. He just needs someone to give him a forever home and lots of love.

Story
Meet Strawberry! This sweet, gentle husky gal was born 12/12/2017 and is 7 1/2 years old. Strawberry is one of those dogs that stole our hearts from Day 1. Definitely a love-at-first-sight dog for us! Strawberry is 61 lbs. She has a calm and quite personality. Here's some facts about Strawberry from her foster mom: 🍓 Fully housetrained 🍓 Great with children of all ages - she's in foster care with two young children. Given Strawberry is on more calm/shy side, calm or older children would be a good match 🍓 Cat friendly 🍓 Dog friendly 🍓 Crate trained 🍓 Enjoys wet food mixed in with her dry food 🍓 Definitely wouldn't mind having a comfy couch to cuddle on 🍓 She will likely take a few weeks to settle in and bond with you at her own speed, and then you'll see Strawberry gradually open up. It's been so fun watching Strawberry blossom and go from a dog that didn't seek pets to one that now cuddles with her foster mom. 🍓 Would like a fenced in yard that she can roam around in 🍓 Not destructive but occasionally likes to be a funny girl and steal a paper product or fabric item 🍓 Loves to chew! Deer antlers and nylabones are her favorite! If you'd like to learn more about our sweet gal, email us at therescueinn@gmail.com or complete an adoption application via our website using a computer: https://therescueinn.com/adoption-application.html

Story
Looking to adopt a new fur baby? Look no further because Sparky needs a home! This gorgeous purebred (AKC) Akita is not only a stunner, but she's also loyal, friendly, and loving. With her athletic build, she's always down for a run around the yard, and she's just waiting for someone to give her all the pets and love she deserves. Although Sparky is a bit unsure about other dogs and cats, she's a people person through and through! She would do best in an adult-only home where she can be the center of attention. Prefer fenced in yard. Sparky is a wonderful companion, and she can't wait to meet you! Sparky is 1 year old, current with vaccinations and spayed. Please complete an adoption application found at our PAWS OHIO website: www.pawsohio.com under the ADOPT tab. Thank you.
