This beautiful boy is said to be a Pomsky, but he is on the larger size at almost 50 lbs. He came to DASH very shy, not really knowing what love and trust were. He is currently in our DASH Prison Program, where he is learning to socialize and just be a dog. He is working on his basic commands and is crate trained, potty trained in the prison setting and now walks well on a leash. He is coming out of his shell and likes all dogs and people. He is a little sensitive to loud noises, but is working on that with his handler. He is just a wonderful dog who needs an active person or family to continue his training and let him know he is safe and loved. He has not been kid or cat tested. Kibo can take some time to open up with strangers, but he is hoping you'll see past his tough exterior to the silly pup we know he is. He seems to already know some basic skills like "sit", and his ideal home will continue training to set him up for success. It seems Shira has been used for litter after litter, and she is ready for a fresh start learning how to be a normal dog instead of a mom. She is a playful girl and loves being outside! She's still learning how toys work, and seems to prefer rocks and sticks over stuffies. Shira does well with other dogs. I’ve got lots of puppy energy, so I’m looking for an active family who loves to get outside and play as much as I do. Walks, hikes, chasing balls — you name it, I’m in! I’m a social butterfly and get along great with other dogs, kids, and even cats (though I might give a friendly chase now and then — I just can’t help my curiosity!). I’d love a dog buddy or an active human to keep up with me. I’m both house-trained and crate-trained, and I’m working hard to remember that not everything is a toy (I still have a bit of that puppy chewer spirit!). I absolutely love bones and anything crunchy, and my favorite toys are chew bones and balls to chase. If you have a yard, I’ll be your zoomie queen — running, fetching, and playing to my heart’s content. A fence would be awesome for my playtime adventures, but it’s not a must if you can give me plenty of exercise and love. I do like to “chat” a little when I’m left alone, so I’d do best in a home with no shared walls (no apartments or townhomes, please) — just to keep everyone happy! I can’t wait to find my forever home — one where I can explore, play, and cuddle up after a day full of fun.
