Meet Umi! Unfortunately this is not Umi's first time at FCDACS, after being adopted last summer she has found her way back here again. We recently picked Umi up as a stray after she became quite the local celebrity, hiding out in the woods and requiring a trap to be caught. Though it seems Umi may have been on her own for a while after being, coming back to us thin and covered in ticks, she is still the happy and energetic pup we knew before! Like many Huskies, Umi is an energetic girl that would benefit from an outlet for her energy. Umi would do best in a home without children, though she may do well with respectful older children. Umi has previously done well with other dogs, though she can come on strong and has a typical Husky playstyle. If you have other animals in your home we recommend bringing them in for a meet and greet before taking Umi home. Hi, I'm Caldwell! I'm Husky/Shepherd mix. I love to play with my friends and I love swimming in my pool when it's hot out! I have been at the shelter all of my life (I came here in August of 2023!). Because of that, I can be pretty shy at first when I'm meeting new people but once I get to know you, I am super sweet and loving and I will give you lots of cuddles and kisses! I love dogs of all sizes and I do really well with cats and children!

Adoption fee is $130 which includes spay/neuter, combo, rabies, and bordetella vaccines, heartworm test and dog license. (Although some of the dogs come to the pound spayed or neutered, most do not. If you adopt a dog that has not yet been spayed/neutered, we will set up an appointment for the dog to be spayed/neutered before it can leave the facility.)
