Story
Dakota was found abandoned/lost on July 31, 2024. We have been independently fostering him. Dakota has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed. He is heartworm negative, and is current on heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention. He is approximately 18 months-2 years old. He is house broken and crate trained. Dakota is very friendly and people oriented. He is very goofy at times - he enjoys chasing butterflies and is fascinated by frogs. He loves to play with toys! Dakota would do well as an indoor/outdoor dog, with a secure fenced yard, or if no fenced yard, he enjoys walks on leash. He has a high prey drive, so a home with cats may not be a good fit. He loves to play with other dogs, and would do well with another dog, or multiple dogs. He is very high energy, so a dog with similar energy would be a good fit. An initial phone interview will be requested before scheduling a meeting.

Story
Sky is a sweet girl who loves to cuddle and lay around the house. She is a 4 year old husky/ bulldog mix. She is good with other dogs but with my new position I am not home enough to give her the time and attention she deserves. She does have some separation anxiety at times but I feel like she needs space to run and play or be taken on long walks to get her energy out.

Story
Meet Grizzle Grizzle is a sweet Siberian Husky mix with a charming personality. He loves a slow morning of sleeping in as much as he loves a good afternoon on the boat, a car ride with his head out the window, snuggles on the couch, or learning a new trick. Personality & Behavior: Initially reserved, Grizzle has come out of his shell and is now a loving and affectionate companion. He responds well to treat-based training and has learned commands like "sit, "lay, "paw, and "off. Grizzle loves learning new tricks and being challenged. He would benefit from a family that can spend time training him. Grizzle loves adventure, whether it's hiking, a boat ride, a roadtrip, a run, or just a short afternoon walk. He is his best self when he gets to experience a sense of exploration often and would thrive with an active family who can keep him stimulated. Daily Life and Needs: Grizzle needs a secure, fenced yard because he will test the boundaries if given the chance, as most huskies do. Once he has realized there are no escape routes though, he usually settles down to enjoy basking in the sun and laying in the grass. Crate and Potty Training: Grizzle is your typical Husky, as in he likes to talk - occasionally. Grizzle will go in a crate with a treat, however, he does have crate and separation anxiety - when left alone, he tends to howl and bark. He does best when he's allowed to free roam, he is polite and generally minds his manners when we are gone. For these reasons, we think Grizzle would do best in a home with a strong fence where someone is around frequently. He's not well-suited for apartment living due to his vocal nature. Grizzle is house broken but seems to only have accidents when left in his crate, which could be anxiety induced and is why we allow him to free roam the house when we leave. Grizzle does a good job at letting us know when he needs to go to the bathroom and when he is not in a crate, he is great with not using the bathroom inside. Children and Other Animals: Grizzle has not been around children, so his behavior with them is unknown. He is good at communicating his boundaries though and based on his current demeanor, he might be best suited for a home with older children or no children at all, as he prefers not to be unexpectedly grabbed or touched. Grizzle is currently adjusting to living with goats and a cat. While he's shown a relaxed demeanor around them, he still requires careful supervision. He's curious about the cat but generally maintains a respectful distance. At this time it seems he is selective of the dogs he wants to be around - slow introductions are important to Grizzle. Grizzle is a sweet and gentle companion who is looking for a loving family that can provide him with the care and attention he needs. If you're ready to welcome a devoted friend into your home, Grizzle might be the perfect fit! To schedule a meetup with Grizzle you can text Lee at 336-298-6798
