Story
Looking for the perfect walking buddy and couch companion? This amazing senior girl Luna might be your match!  - Loves walks and is super easy on a leash  - Crate trained and house trained  - Great with kids  - Sweet, loyal, and still full of personality She’s a wonderful dog who enjoys her toys a little too much and prefers not to share them with other dogs—but with people she is pure love. She will do best being the only dog in the house. Don’t let the “senior” label fool you—this girl still has plenty of life, love, and tail wags left to give. She’s ready for a forever home where she can be your loyal best friend. If you are interested in adopting Luna, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age. **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. ** March 24, 2026, 7:35 pm

*Please contact foster at, shannon.m.wheeler.2020@gmail.com*Meet Bentley: Your Future Southend Adventure Partner! ??If you’re looking for a handsome, seasoned companion to hit the Rail Trail with, look no further. Bentley is a 6-year-old Red and White Husky who is ready to find his `forever` social circle in Charlotte. The Basics• Breed/Look: Stunning Red and White Husky (expect plenty of compliments on your walks!).• Age: 6 years young—the perfect balance of Husky energy and adult maturity.• Status: House-trained and a total pro in his crate (he’s surprisingly quiet!).• Social Life: Bentley is a `dog`s dog` and gets along great with other canine friends. The Perfect DayBentley is a Southend enthusiast. While some dogs find the hustle and bustle overwhelming, Bentley thrives on the Rail Trail. He loves catching up on the `news of the day` (sniffing every post and blade of grass) and taking in the sights. He has that classic Husky engine, so he’s looking for an active partner who can channel his energy into useful activities.Personality & QuirksBentley is a `slow burn` kind of guy. He takes a little time to observe and build trust, but once you’re in his inner circle, he loves to be right by your side.A few things to know about Bentley`s `Bubbles`:• Personal Space: He is a bit particular about his neck area when meeting new people. Big hugs from strangers can be scary, and he needs a patient hand and a few treats to get comfortable with his harness being adjusted.• The Foot Exception: Surprisingly, he doesn`t mind his feet being touched at all!• The `Husky Grumble`: Bentley is a fan of happy compliance. He responds beautifully to positive reinforcement and `choice-based` training. If you try to `strong-arm` him into doing something, expect some classic Husky grumbles in protest! He prefers a partnership over a dictatorship.Ideal Home• Kids: Because of his size and his need for a respectful approach to personal space, Bentley is recommended for older children or an adults-only home.• Activity Level: High! He needs an owner who understands the Husky drive and is ready to keep his mind and body busy.• Location: He’d be the happiest dog in Charlotte if he landed near the Rail Trail where he can keep his nose busy, or anywhere else he can get lots of walks!
