Story
Simba has been in my family’s care for almost 6 years. Due to family health issues and lifestyle differences, my family can’t give Simba the best life he deserves. He is a husky Alaskan malamute mix. Very sweet, playful, and has lots of energy. Good with people, kids, and other dogs. He’s an outside dog but goes in the crate at night. He’s not neutered and hasn’t been chipped.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Petfinder Courtesy Post: Meet Suka Suka is a beautiful 10-year-old Husky/Shepherd mix with a calm, gentle presence and a heart full of quiet loyalty. She spent her entire life by the side of her devoted human, who recently passed away from Huntington’s disease. Suka was deeply loved, but unfortunately did not receive consistent veterinary care in recent years. She is already spayed, and her current caregiver is ensuring she will be brought up to date on her rabies vaccination as she prepares for a fresh start. Despite all she’s been through, Suka remains incredibly mild-mannered and easygoing. She is good with cats and children, making her a wonderful companion for a variety of homes. She has a sweet, steady nature that makes her the kind of dog who simply wants to be near her people and feel safe again. Suka has lived with another dog, Rio (a Shepherd mix), but they are not bonded and can be adopted separately. She is now looking for a loving home where she can spend her golden years surrounded by kindness, comfort, and care. Location: Raleigh, NC Adoption Fee: $100 Apply here: rainbowbridgerescue.org/adopt Important: This is a courtesy post. Suka is not currently in the care of Rainbow Bridge Hospice Rescue. If you’re looking to open your heart to a gentle senior who deserves a peaceful and loving home, Suka is waiting for you.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 6, 2026, 11:50 am

Story
Cillian is a young husky who embodies everything people love about the breed. Full of energy and spunk, he’s always ready for his next adventure, whether that’s a long walk, a hike, or a trip to your favorite hang out. If you’re looking for a dog who will keep up with an active lifestyle, Cillian is your guy. True to his husky roots, Cillian is an independent guy around 28 lbs who loves to be on the move. At the farm, always exploring and sneaks in a little mischief from time to time. He plays hard and brings a fun, goofy energy wherever he goes. He’s the kind of dog who will make you laugh with his antics, and will do well in a home that understands his breed. When he’s gotten his energy out, Cillian is happy to hang out and be part of the action, soaking up attention before gearing up for his next round of fun. **Hiking feedback: " Cillian was great to hike with.  He was pretty well focused although he did like to stop occasionally and sniff things out.  Cillian is a very affectionate dog and at water breaks loves to give kisses.  Hope he finds a great home.  I would love to hike with him again.  Great experience"! **Additional feedback: " On breaks he would sit and lay down to rest but was always ready to get up and keep moving. He definitely likes his exercise and smelling the world around him".  **Cillian was the absolute best hiking pup! He had such a calm demeanor and didn’t pull at all the entire time! He would stop here and there for sniffs but was happy to keep strolling along. He was friendly with the other dogs and loved the attention from the people, especially anyone with a treat! Hiking with him was such a fun, relaxing experience.  Weekend Host Feedback: "Cillian adores people. He’s all about meeting new people and snuggling up to give them kisses. He’s very smart and remembers the houses of people he has met while out walking. He played with men, women and kids. Cillian will play with other dogs and when I tell him to stay next to me when we approach other dogs on our walk he is a good boy and either stands or sits quietly next to me until I tell him ‘lets go’ and praise him for being a good boy. He is very good at leash walking. He pauses and alerts if he hears something/someone behind us. Cillian is ok in the car, but I think he would rather skip it. He barks quite a bit when the car is in motion. He did calm down eventually. He is potty trained. No accidents in the house. Cillian slept all night in his crate on the orthopedic dog pad. He will go in the crate with a little coaxing. Cillian is a laid back guy who likes to have fun and is always up for a walk, rain or shine. He likes sunning himself on the lawn. Cuddling and kissing people is his favorite activity. He will play with toys, but prefers people!"

Story
Meet Coco, a spirited little Husky puppy with a big personality and an even bigger heart! This playful girl is full of energy and curiosity, always ready for her next adventure. Coco absolutely loves belly rubs, playing with her favorite stuffed toys, and chewing on bones. She’s also great at playing fetch with balls and will happily chase and bring them back for another round. When she’s not busy playing, you’ll often find her happily rolling around in the grass or soaking up the sunshine. Coco is a smart pup who is currently working on potty training, crate training, and leash training. She’s making great progress and does especially well on walks when she can follow along with another dog. Like many Huskies, Coco has lots of energy and will thrive in a home that can give her plenty of exercise, playtime, and mental stimulation. She currently lives with a senior dog and does well, though she always hopes her older companion will join in on the fun. Coco simply loves to play! She also seems to think she’s the leader of the pack, bringing a confident and spirited personality to the household. Coco is also quite the talker, and isn’t shy about sharing her thoughts with her people in classic Husky fashion. Despite all that puppy energy, Coco has a soft side too. When bedtime rolls around, she loves to snuggle and wind down with her people. She’s been given a consistent nighttime routine that helps her settle in and sleep in her crate with little fuss. She’s also very affectionate and generous with puppy kisses. Coco would do best with an active family ready to continue her training, give her lots of love, and keep up with her playful spirit. If you’re looking for a fun, vocal, affectionate companion who will keep you smiling every day, Coco might be your perfect match. Hiker feedback: " Coco is a super sweet and super energetic puppy! She was so excited to go on the walk, every time we stopped she would lay down from puppy exhaustion and then jump right back up with an energy refresh! She has no fear of the water and went right in when we got to the lake on the hike. I also think she would be easy to train, she is smart and food motivated!  Truly such a sweet dog and loves all the attention you can give her"!

Story
Looking for a beautiful pup who loves chatting? Sabrina is your girl. This beautiful husky mix comes in around 70lbs and is the sweetest girl out there. In traditional Husky fashion, Sabrina likes to speak her mind and let you know what she's thinking but does her "awooooo's" in an soulful kind of way though may not enjoy apartment living much. She keeps her chats to a minimum as to not annoy, but hearing her sweet voice is the best. Sabrina can be a shy girl, but gets along with other dogs and humans alike and can be very independent and never demanding. She's a gentle girl who just wants love and someone to share gossip with. Ready for your new best friend? Come meet Sabrina and you'll be in love. *Weekend Host Feedback: "Sabrina was the sweetest girl to have over for the weekend! She is curious, intelligent, and extremely well mannered. She knows her "sit" and "shake" (with both paws) commands very well, and would walk into her crate and stay there without any fuss. She truly is polite with her soft "awoos" because she only does them when she wants a treat or is excited to go outside. It took her a little bit to warm up to her food bowl as she would graze and only take a few nibbles at a time. But, by the end of the weekend, she was more confident and took bigger bites. She hopped in the car easily without giving it a second thought. She does like to look out the window or give you a kiss while you're driving! Sabrina loves walking, but would probably thrive best in a home with a fenced in backyard. At night, she is happy to follow your schedule, but she may go back and forth between snuggling with you on the bed and having some independent time on the floor or in her crate. She did not have any accidents in the house at all nor did she chew anything in the house. At first, she will want to explore and sniff everything, but she responds well to commands and learns quickly. I can't say enough about how sweet Sabrina is!" *Additional feedback: " She is so well-behaved and patient; no in-house accidents, no overly eager sniffing or biting, and no issues remaining in her crate while the humans are out. She will let you know when she wants to go out with a soft "woof," but she is otherwise quiet and content! She is politely curious about cats **Hiking feedback: "Very good natured and enjoyed being petted. She stayed focused on the trail and was friendly to other dogs, older children (ours are 10 and 14) and adults. At the beginning, she pulled a bit but settled down as the 3-mile hike progressed. She is a sweet dog and would make a great pet just maybe not a summer running partner in Sabrina's case".
