Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Chili is a 1 1/2 year old Siberian Husky, she weighs about 45 pounds.   Chili is as gentle as the day is long.  She's friendly, playful and full of energy.  She is very smart and is house trained.  If left alone she will chew on anything and everything she has access to so she needs someone who is not gone too often.   She needs a family that wants to go on hikes or walks and play with her to keep her mind busy.  Chili is great with kids but the toddler she lives with now tries to push her boundaries.  Let's say she "loves" on her a little too hard.  Chili is very tolerant but will let her know when she is done with the attention by giving her a little nip.   It takes a long time for Chili to lose her patience because she is such a gentle dog but her family doesn't want her to have to be tested like that anymore.   If you would like to meet Chili please fill out an application from our website.  Fenced yard required.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 23, 2024, 11:04 am

Story
Hey dog lovers! I am super sweet, but have no human to give my love to. I miss the cuddle time a lot, but my former human got really sick and couldn't keep me anymore. I am completely vaccinated, and will come to you completely trained in Basic Obedience by a professional trainer! Like most pups my age and breed, I have lots of energy and need play time or a job. By the way, I am 100% potty trained as well! I would love to come live with you, especially if you have little humans or another pup to play with! No adoption fee! But, will be vetted by a professional dog trainer/foster parent.

Story
Meet Neymira, a gentle soul with a mellow demeanor. She is a female Husky around 4 years old and 56 pounds. Also known as Nay Nay, she carries with her a beautiful and thick fur coat that is soft as silk. Neymira can be shy when meeting new people, but she warms up quickly once she adjusts and feels safe. Once you start to see her true personality you learn that she adores belly rubs, her tail wagging in delight as she rolls over to present her tummy for a good scratch at every opportunity. Her calm nature makes her a joy to be around, her presence soothing and comforting. Neymira is house trained and has never shown the need for a crate. She can be left in the house unattended while you’re gone and she makes herself cozy on the couch or a nice dog bed. Nay Nay gets alone well with cats, kids, and other dogs of all sizes. She really enjoys her time outdoors and does need supervision while outside. She is very smart and will find a way to get her way back inside if you leave her outside by herself. Neymira’s intelligence, coupled with her love for affection and companionship, makes her a unique canine. Her endearing quirks and gentle spirit are sure to fill her future home with joy and laughter. Adopt Neymira and let her bring her special blend of joy, love, and adventure into your life! Neymira has been spayed, microchipped, and kept current on vaccines and monthly preventatives. You can email julianshumate@gmail.com with any questions or fill out an application here: https://humanesocietyofwilkes.org/adopt/application/julians. To ensure your application was received please email the foster home. You can expect an email response within a week of applying.

Story
Hello, my name is Texas, but Foster Mom calls me Dallas! I'm an adorable young pup with lots of energy. I love to play, explore, and make new friends. I'm super affectionate and love getting pets and cuddles. I'm also curious about everything and love to sniff and investigate new smells and sights. I'm an outgoing pup and am enjoying my foster siblings. My previous owners didn't have any other dogs so all this is new and I love it! I hope we get to meet your family and see if we are a pawfect match. Come meet our adoptable dogs on Saturdays from 11am to 1pm in the backyard at AARF's new location- 302 Thurston St, W-S. Go to AARFWS.org to view and apply for our AARF dogs. Information about the process is available on our website. Remember that we do not adopt more than a 45-minute radius from our facility in Winston Salem.
