Story
Gigi is a sweet 5-month-old Husky/Pit mix who’s basically the perfect blend of puppy fun + champion snuggler. She’s about 10 lbs right now and is expected to be around 45 lbs when fully grown. Gigi came from an accidental litter; while her siblings found homes, she didn’t—and she was at risk of being taken to the pound. She’s safe at the rescue now, but she is ready for her forever family. Gigi has that typical puppy “crazy” energy, especially when it’s playtime, but she also has an amazing off switch. She loves her crate and is calm while in it–and sleeps through the night. She has been doing fantastic with consistent potty training, having NO accidents so far! She is truly a social butterfly with four legs. Gigi loves other dogs and cats, and she enjoys playing with dog friends. She is also a total people-lover who loves everyone, and when she’s done playing, she’s happiest curled up close for a cuddle. Because she’s still young, she is continuing to work on puppy manners. She can jump and get a little nippy, so it will be important to continue typical puppy training with her. Because she is still learning her manners, Gigi would do best with kids familiar with dogs and a family who are excited to keep up her training. Come meet Gigi if you are looking for a very, very sweet and cuddly puppy who will grow into a loving, playful companion.

Story
** Will be ready to go home after April 8th Meet Skye — your future adventure buddy, morning alarm clock, and professional snack enthusiast all rolled into one irresistibly fluffy package. At just 7 months old, Skye is a stunning Husky mix with bright eyes, a curious spirit, and about 40 pounds of pure puppy joy (she’ll likely top out around 50 lbs of gorgeous goofiness). She came into rescue shortly after her sister Gigi, and while her past is a little fuzzy, one thing is crystal clear: Skye is ready to write her next chapter—with you. Skye is the definition of a “good girl in training.” She’s an active, playful pup who lives for zoomies, chasing balls, and proudly carrying around sticks like prized possessions. Got treats? Even better. This girl is highly food motivated, which means training her is not only easy—it’s actually fun. She already enjoys learning and thrives on mental stimulation, so she’s the perfect match for someone excited to continue teaching her all the good dog things. She’s social, adaptable, and takes new environments in stride like a pro. Skye has shown herself to be dog-friendly (hello, play bows!) and has done well with cats, too. She’s curious but respectful, and with proper introductions, she could happily coexist with a feline sibling. Basically, she’s got the personality of that one friend who gets along with everyone at the party. With people, Skye is friendly and enthusiastic—sometimes a little too enthusiastic (we’re working on that whole “four-on-the-floor” greeting instead of launching herself like a fluffy rocket). Because of her playful energy, she’d do best with older or dog-savvy kiddos who understand that puppies are still learning their manners. She’s doing great with house training when kept on a consistent schedule and is currently working on crate training. Like many puppies, she might protest her crate accommodations briefly, but she settles in nicely and even sleeps through the night… until about 6:30am, when she politely (or not-so-politely) lets you know it’s potty time. Think of her as your built-in sunrise alarm system—no snooze button included. Skye walks well on leash for her age and is easily redirected, making her a wonderful candidate for continued leash training and outdoor adventures. Whether it’s hikes, neighborhood walks, or backyard playtime, she’s ready to be your sidekick. No special needs, no behavioral concerns, no drama—just a happy, energetic puppy who’s eager to learn, love, and be loved. If you’re looking for a smart, fun, and affectionate pup who will keep you laughing, keep you moving, and keep your heart very full… Skye might just be your perfect match. Adopt Skye — because life is better with a little extra fluff, fun, and 6:30am wake-up calls. Story
Fen has spent far too many days watching the world from the end of a chain. When his owner moved away, this 6-year-old Lab/Husky mix was left behind on a lonely tie-out at an empty house, cared for only by kind neighbors who refused to let him be forgotten. They shared that Fen once lived indoors, but as his owner’s health declined, Fen’s life slowly shrank to neglect and isolation. Despite it all, Fen’s heart remains wide open.   This sweet boy is full of gentle enthusiasm and gratitude for every bit of attention. The moment he’s free to stretch his legs, Fen lights up — he loves to run, play, and feel the joy of simply being a dog again. He already knows how to sit, walks well on a leash, and shows just how smart and willing he is to listen and learn. Fen wants so badly to connect with people; he leans in for affection like he’s been saving up years of love to give.   Because he’s been forced to live outside for so long, he may need a little patience while relearning house manners and routine — but he’s had a home before, and he’s eager to understand again. Fen is currently underweight, a visible reminder of how he’s been failed, but also a hopeful sign of how much better his future can be with someone who truly cares.   Fen isn’t broken. He’s loving, loyal, and ready to bloom in the hands of a family who will never leave him behind again. All he needs now is a warm place to land, steady meals, and the promise that he’ll always belong.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 7, 2026, 12:24 pm

Story
Meet Cubby – Your Adventure Buddy and Best Friend! Breed: Husky Mix | Age: 2.5 years | Weight: 50 lbs Cubby is a stunning Husky mix with soulful eyes and a heart of gold. After being rescued from an overcrowded backyard situation, this sweet boy has blossomed in foster care and is now ready to find his forever family.   Cubby has discovered the joys of life—walks, playtime, snuggles, and, most of all, people! He’s affectionate, smart, and always seems to be trying to understand everything around him with those expressive eyes. He’s especially great with children and loves being part of a family.   An energetic and athletic pup, Cubby thrives on adventure. He loves long walks, hiking, backpacking, playing fetch, running beside a bike, and splashing in the water. If you lead an active lifestyle, Cubby might just be your perfect match. And when the day is done? He’s happy to chill on his dog bed, content just being near his people.   Cubby currently lives with two other dogs and absolutely loves playing with them. He would thrive in a home with a fenced yard and another dog buddy—or as your one-and-only if he gets plenty of exercise and enrichment.   Cubby is not just a dog—he’s a loyal companion, hiking partner, and forever friend who will bring joy, laughter, and love to your life. All he needs is a family who will give him the active, loving home he deserves.    Fostered in Tennessee   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 7, 2026, 12:24 pm

Story
Introducing Wheeler – the boy who steals hearts everywhere he goes! This 14 month-old, 45 -pound German Shepherd/Husky mix is as smart as he is handsome. Wheeler has already mastered sit and shake with both paws and became fully housebroken in just one week with his foster family. He’s crate trained, learning to walk well on a leash, and eager to soak up everything that’s taught to him.  This boy with the amazing smile and wonderful ears knows how to steal hearts.  Wheeler is a social butterfly who loves everyone—kids, adults, dogs, and even cats. In fact, he’s convinced the cats in his foster home need constant “baths,” which he happily provides with endless affection. He also enjoys curling up in a lap, whether it belongs to a person or another pup. Wheeler’s past wasn’t easy. He and his brother were abandoned, and he was found underweight and wondering what was going to happen next for him. He runs and plays like a kid and he loves to hang out with his foster mom while she works from home.  This boy needs a fenced yard to access easily at all hours of the day if he wants.  A work from home or stay at home mom would be best for this boy since he cannot be happy being crated for 9 hours daily Monday - Friday.  He is wonderful with cats and does well with dogs when playing with them.  He does want all the attention from the humans and has a touch of jealousy sometimes if another dog gets more pets.  He has an amazing resilient spirit and loves to be the center of attention from his family. What makes this particular boy so special isn’t just his good looks or intelligence—it’s his kind heart. He’s grateful for every bit of love and safety he’s found in rescue, and he’s ready to give that love right back to the family lucky enough to call him their own.  If Wheeler sounds like the perfect match for your family, please email ccrtennessee@gmail.com. This incredible boy is waiting to meet his forever people, and we know you’ll be smitten from the very first hello. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 11, 2026, 12:09 am

Story
Jackson is the softest and sweetest pup. He was found wandering the streets and his previous owner never claimed him. We believe he's around 1 year old. Jackson loves to play fetch and chase his foster sisters around. He particularly loves the tennis balls, but his favorite part of fetch is getting head scratches before he'll drop the ball. :) He listens to commands and is generally very well behaved. He knows how to sit on command and knows what "No" means. More importantly, he listens to "no" consistently. ;) He would do well with an active family as he has a lot of energy. He does okay most of the time on a leash, but his foster mom is working on his pulling when he gets excited.
