Story
Selah is a beautiful Husky mix.  The vet estimates her date of birth as 8/6/2022.  She is medium size.  She is crate trained and walks well on a leash.  She seems to get along with other dogs, but hasn't been exposed to cats.  She seems like a low-key kind of girl, just looking for a family to love.  She would do well in any kind of family.  She's young enough to love playing with kids, or taking hikes, or just lying beside you and watching tv. ~~ Adoption donation $300 . All vetting is up to date. Microchipped and spayed. Also on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Story
Meet Dodge, a charming Husky mix with a heart of gold.  The vet estimated birth date is June of 2023.  He has the perfect balance of playful energy and calm cuddly affection.  He enjoys a good game of fetch, especially with a football, but is also happy to relax by your side.  Dodge loves being around people and is especially fond of kids.  He also gets along well with other dogs.  He can be a bit too enthusiastic around cats, so a home without feline friends might be best for him.  This handsome fella is so ready for a family to love him! ~Adoption donation $300 . Story
Patches is 8 months old and is such a sweet boy who is dog and kid friendly. He is also house trained as well. Patches is just a happy go lucky boy. He has been waiting for over 6 months for his home. We pulled Hazel, Patches' mom, from Duplin County Animal Shelter last summer. Hazel was going to be euthanized at the shelter. Hazel ended up being pregnant when we pulled her and two of her pups are still left and one is Patches. We do not know what breed the father was, but Hazel is a Siberian Husky/Shepherd Mix.

Story
Layna's story is both heart-wrenching and inspiring. It's incredible to see the resilience and determination of this brave husky. Layna was found as a stray and ended up at the animal shelter. She was in rough shape with an injured back leg and needed emergency care to see what was going on. An x-ray confirmed she had been shot, and her leg was shattered in three places. After a cast and cage rest, it was determined an amputation was going to give her the best relief of pain and a future of no complications. Thanks to the dedication and care of her foster family and the animal shelter staff, she's on her way to a brighter future. Her sweet and smart personality shines through despite everything she's been through. Layna loves playing with other dogs. She’s a husky and playtime is her favorite thing! She wants to play with cats and they get agitated. Layna is good with older kids who are ok with active dogs. For anyone looking for a loyal and energetic companion, Layna could be the perfect addition to your family. 🐾 You can learn more about her and complete an adoption application by visiting the website: hsdavie.org/dogs Let's spread the word and help Layna find the loving home she deserves! 🌟
