Story
Maverick is a great husky & companion but time for him to find a new home is running out. He’s currently with a foster until Jan 1st and that’s when he needs his new forever home. Maverick is well behaved, house trained, and enjoys to soak up all the love or go for a long walk (or run/hike). My relocation makes it impossible to keep him… he’s 9-years old (7/16/2015), in great health, and a happy-go-lucky dog. He comes with a new bag of food, food container, toys and toy bin, 2 Caspar beds, Yeti dog bowls, and a brush. He’s neutered and very easy to maintain day to day, with eating 2x per day, and used to 2 or 3 walks per day (can go 8-10 hours when needed). Please review and think about submitting an application. If there are questions please let me know.

Story
This is a COURTESY POST, so this dog is not at the Cornelius Animal Shelter. If you're interested in Keo, please contact his foster parent at 302-438-5766. Meet Keo! This big teddy bear is the sweetest dog you’ll ever meet. We believe Keo is around 3 or 4 years old. Our son started fostering him when his prior owner left the area and couldn’t take Keo with him, but he wasn’t an appropriate dog for a small apartment. When he first joined us, he was underweight and having gut issues. After much testing we discovered that Keo has a form of Addison's Disease, which is easily treated with a small dose of prednisone. His health is now excellent, and he’s at a good weight and is very happy! We’ve been fostering Keo for several months now, and he gets along very well with our 4 other dogs (both males and females). He loves to play, preferring to chase and be chased rather than retrieving balls or sticks. Keo loves taking walks and he likes to wade in the water down at the lake. He likes a comfy dog bed and will sleep on the floor right next to your bed if you let him. He doesn’t get on the furniture unless invited and is not a “counter surfer”. When Keo is excited, he vocalizes like a husky, but is otherwise a quiet dog – he doesn’t bark at other dogs or passers-by. As a larger black dog he looks imposing, but you can see the sweetness and focus in his beautiful blue eyes. Give Keo a chance, you won’t regret it! He deserves a great home.

Story
This pup ran up on me while I was working on a job site and hopped in my truck. I spent over a month trying to reunite her with her family with no luck. On the advice of animal control I kept her while I tried to re-home her. She is a very sweet girl. She needs some training but is surprisingly easy to deal with for a husky. She loves to play with kids and other dogs and loves to run outside. She's crate trained and potty trained. She's about 15-18 months old.

Story
I got Haku 2 years ago from a neighbor who couldn't take care of him; the plan was always to foster him. He loves being outside but he is an escape artist, he hasn't ever hurt a cat but he chases them pretty aggressively and he plays with a lot of energy which is fine for my pit, but maybe not for some dogs. He loves strangers but has a tendency to jump. He could run, walk, and play all day without getting tired. He is crate trained but he will eat any dog bed you give him.

Story
Quick facts: Name: Kyra Age: 2 years Breed: Siberan Husky House trained Kyra is a 2 year old Siberian husky ready for her own family! Unlike some other huskies, Kyra is low energy and does not try to break out of fences. Kyra was heartworm positive on intake and has completed treatment! Kyra is friendly with all but can take a while to warm up. She doesn’t pull while on the leash, is house trained, and doesn’t attempt to destroy anything when left alone. Her foster says she acts like an old lady and would do well on a farm; she’s easygoing, enjoys car rides, likes to following her foster around the farm, but doesn’t play much. Cat, chicken, livestock, and dog friendly! Kyra really wants to find a family that will love her and understand she grumbles (husky talks) a lot but just likes being around her people. She would do great with a family that understands she will come to you when she’s ready for affection, especially head scratches! Before emailing- please read: - Yes, this dog is available for adoption - The adoption fee for Kyra is $365 - Apply at c2cnd.org - The adoption fee covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care. - Local adopters only.
