Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Kino is not your boxed wine kinda guy. Anyone can be shopping for taco ingredients, bread, orange juice, and coffee when they happen to stumble into the beer and wine aisle of the grocery store, and think 'hey, this looks like a good deal.' It takes someone with an understanding of wine to choose just the right bottle for the occasion. Kino, much like a good vino, is a dog that needs to be appreciated by someone who understands the many layers and complexities of the Husky breed. They are generally very friendly. They love to hold conversations and discuss important topics like 'who's a good boy?' and 'are you a good boy?' They are extremely smart which leads them to do extremely stupid things. 'Hold my chew toy and watch this.' They are very assertive dogs who will NOT be ignored... even when they're pretending you can't see them doing something naughty. They need exercise, physical and mental. A daily walk and something that exercises their mind is key to keeping them from being bored. If you're up for owning a dog who needs a constant reminder that they don't own you, Kino just might be your guy. Kino is good with other dogs who aren't dominant or ill tempered. He gets too excited around kids and lots of commotion and would do best in a mature, adult only home with someone who can maintain his training. Kino received training from Jeff Coltenback and comes with lifetime support from him. Kino (in typical Husky fashion) likes to explore the world and make demands with his mouth. His training focused on teaching him what's appropriate and what isn't. Keeping up with this is important to keep him out of trouble. Kino's absolute favorite thing is being petted. He will insist you keep going when you stop, and resort to lots of licking and kissing until you start petting him again. His second favorite thing is treats. Kino is appx 7-9 years old. He's crate trained, house trained once he gets used to a schedule, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Meet sweet Tatum, she came from Lenoir County where she was extremely neglected and abused.  When she was found she was suffering from heat stroke. She will need a family with husky experience,  time and patience to help her become the dog she deserves to be.  Tatum has the added benefit of several weeks of training by Jeff Coltenback and he says shes a sweet girl! Here's what Jeff has to say about her: Tatum has a good obedience foundation. She currently is not in training so she's a little rusty. She is crate trained and appears to be housetrained. She ignores his chickens but she has not been tested with cats. She is dog friendly but prefers male dogs. She has 'a joyful energy' that will brighten your day. She is very sweet and affectionate and loves hikes and walks. She LOVES to chew toys and is relatively quiet for a husky (not silent though)! She is good for her ear cleanings and her grooming.  Please consider giving this girl a forever home! She is sure to brighten your day! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Hi! I'm Aria! I'm 3 years old and weigh about 50lbs. I am a very sweet girl. I can be a little shy but once I warm up you are my best friend. Unlike most huskies, I am more calm and laid back. I prefer to spend my time split between playing with my doggy friends and napping. During my relaxation time, I like to chew on a yummy bone.I do require a 6 foot, secure fence or to be on leash at all times. I will chase after squirrels or rabbits if they dare cross my path. I love to take walks with foster mama. She lets me sniff all the smells. I LOVE my food. I will do just about anything for a yummy treat. I will even give you a little boop with my nose if you don't share your delicious human food with me. My crate is my safe space. I love my crate and have no issues in it. I actually prefer to be in my crate often. Foster mama says I am amazing with kids and amazing with dogs. I am completely housetrained and up-to-date on all vetting. All I need is an amazing family to love me forever. I am not your typical husky. Though I do need a secure yard I am quiet unless I want to play. Then I may let out a few whines or yips. I have been known to take a shoe every once in a while. My ideal home would have a secure fence and a doggy friend to play with. I will be shy at first but when I warm up I will love you forever. To adopt Aria, please visit: https://www.pawfectmatch.org/info/adoption Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 6, 2024, 2:18 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Mac’s Bio Meet Mac! Mac was seized from a rural property after being tied to a tree with no shelter or fresh water for two years. He is a big, Husky mix weighing in at 80-90 lbs, but don’t let that scare you! He’s a big softy who loves hugs and cuddles, and just wants to be with you all the time. Bonus points if you have lots of toys!! Mac loves other dogs, but will just need a slow introduction as he is high energy when he meets them, and he will need to go to a home with no cats. People failed Mac, and we are slowly showing him that not all people are like that. Mac is looking for a home that will provide him with all the love and patience that he never had at the beginning of life! It is preferred that Mac go to a home with Husky experience. You can apply to adopt me here: https://www.pawfectmatch.org/info/adoptionVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 19, 2024, 11:33 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Sakari is a beautiful girl with a gentle soul. Sadly we believe she did not always know the better side of humans. She was likely fed and bred at best and otherwise left to fend for herself outdoors. She did not receive medical care or affection with any sort of regularity. Fortunately, Sakari has a clean bill of health. Huskies need lots of exercise and Sakari is no exception.  Sakari will need love and patience and someone familiar with the husky breed.  She skirts away from you until she trusts you and at times you may feel like you’re doing a two steps forward, one step back kinda dance. On the flip side, once she knows you she will come to you for pets and belly rubs. She’s a sucker for hot dogs and chicken. She is potty trained and not destructive. When you see her play and show her fun side, you’ll smile from ear to ear. I promise you, if given the chance to figure out a life with love she will thrive. Even more, she’s worth the effort.  Sakari does well with other dogs her size, but absolutely no cats. To apply for adoption visit: https://www.pawfectmatch.org/info/adoptionVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 6, 2024, 2:18 pm

Story
Thor had an accident at birth and lost part of his tail. We took him in because at 5 months he still hadn’t been taken home because of his tail. When we first got him, he was sick with Giardia. It took a while to get over it. He is healthy now and just has a food allergy so he eats Riyal Canin dry dog food. He is a wonderful dog who loves our other 2 dogs and our cat. He has been around teenagers and adults. He enjoys walks, is crate trained, is well behaved, sits while awaiting dinner, and is a snuggle bug. We would keep him but we already have 2 dogs and a cat.

Story
Meet Goosey, a stunning 4-year-old Siberian Husky who’s as sweet as she is beautiful! At a petite 40 pounds, she’s full of energy, love, and personality. Goosey is a total people-pleaser who gets along with other dogs and is generally submissive in her doggie relationships. She absolutely thrives on attention and is always ready to make new friends—two-legged or four-legged!While Goosey is mostly well-behaved, she can be a bit possessive over her toys, but she's working on improving that. As for crate time, she’s definitely not a fan—she’s a certified escape artist when it comes to her crate, often pulling off Houdini-level escapes! Because of the her escape artistry, a 6-foot fence or an active family ready for regular leash walks is a must for her.Goosey is house-trained and has never met a person she didn’t instantly love. She already knows “sit” and is working on perfecting “down.” As a husky, she has never been around cats and probably won’t be their biggest fan.If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate, and playful companion who will keep you on your toes, Goosey is the one! She's ready to bring her energy and love into your home, and she's sure to be your best friend for life.***Please Note: All the available dogs listed on our website are getting spoiled in private foster homes. If someone has caught your eye and you wish to arrange a meet and greet, we do need you to fill out the adoption application. When your adoption application is received our screening team will verify the information given. Once your application has been confirmed and approved, we will be send it over to the foster parent for review to determine if your home is a good match for the dog. In the event one lucky dog receives multiple applications, please know we do not select based on a first come basis. We try our best to select the best-fit for our animals and families. ***

Story
Meet Capone! I'm a silly, playful, and fun-loving guy who will keep you entertained with my delightful antics. You'll be pleased to know that I'm both crate and potty trained, making me a well-behaved companion. However, I should mention that I prefer to be the only dog in the house, and I'm most comfortable in a home with adults - so no kids, please. I absolutely adore going for walks, and I'm always up for a good cuddle session or some playtime. Chewing on bones is a favorite pastime of mine, and I'm a sucker for treats. You'll find that I'm smart but a bit hard-headed, which can make life with me quite an adventure. Trust me, I'm even cuter in person! If you think I might be the one you're looking for, don't hesitate to ask to meet me. I can't wait to become your best friend and fill your life with love and laughter! Story
Hallie Boo is a lovely 3-year-old, 40 lb. Siberian Husky mix with a sweet, calm, and gentle nature. This beautiful girl has one ear that sometimes stands up while the other stays down, giving her an adorable look. She's easy to leash, walks right by other dogs without reacting, and is a joy to walk -a volunteer even called her "a perfect walker." Hallie Boo knows how to sit, takes treats gently, and is on the potty-trained list as she keeps her kennel clean. She's also a huge fan of cuddles and belly rubs, showing her affectionate side. Hallie Boo wasn't very interested in playing with other dogs in the playgroup-she prefers being with people and feeling the love. She definitely seems like a peaceful co-existor who tolerated other dogs, but she really did not express interest in engaging in play.Come and meet this sweetheart!Hallie Boo is ready to go home today - she is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and is already spayed. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Hi, I’m Henry! I’m a 3-year-old Chow Chow-Chihuahua mix, and at 25 pounds, I’m all fluff, love, and personality—with a seriously adorable underbite. It’s my signature look, and trust me, it’ll win you over in no time. I’m looking for a forever home where I can be the one and only dog because, let’s be honest, I love being the center of attention. I’m very protective of my humans—it’s my job to make sure you’re safe and loved. I’m also a professional snuggler. I’ll follow you around the house, curl up next to you on the couch, and rest my head on your lap. When it’s bedtime, I’d much rather sleep in the bed with you than in a crate. (I mean, wouldn’t you?) I’m house-trained, crate-trained, and know all the basic obedience commands. I’m super food-motivated, so teaching me new tricks will be easy (as long as snacks are involved). I’m not a chewer—except for my toys—but I do like to explore new places, so I might need a little supervision at first to make sure I don’t get into something I shouldn’t. I like to keep busy with backyard adventures and toys, but I’m not overly energetic. A little playtime, a little running around, and I’m good to go. Then, it’s time for naps and cuddles! I’ve had some big changes in my life recently. My first human loved me very much, but after his wife passed away, he had to move to Europe, and I couldn’t go with him. Now I’m ready for my next chapter with someone who’ll love me just as much as I’ll love them. If you’re looking for a loyal, cuddly, and slightly bossy best friend—with the cutest underbite in the world—I’m your guy. Just one request—no other dogs, okay? I like having all the attention. Deal? You can apply to adopt our dogs at: https://www.pawfectmatch.org/info/adoptionVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 19, 2024, 11:33 am
