Story
This sweet boy showed up on my property one night. We took him to the vet to see if he is chipped and he is not. We posted all over and asked all around town and no one claimed him or wanted him. I already had 3 dogs when he showed up because we took two out of an abusive dog hoarding situation. I’m not able to provide for him long term and would really appreciate finding him a good home.

Story
Hi there! We rescued Maynard as a puppy. He is a full blooded Husky. Maynard is a very sweet, extremely, extremely smart dog. He is 2 years old. He knows how to sit, stay, and lay down (although we havent practiced much lately due to life circumstances). He is house trained but has been outside for the last year. He wanted to be outside with my other dog, and we could not get him to come in. The reason we are getting rid of him is only because he doesnt like farm animals such as chickens and ducks. He loves kids, I have two daughters that he is around often. He was raised wiyh cats, and absolutely loves them. He is great with other dogs. However, we have chickens, as do most of our neighbors and we can't risk someone shooting him over their chickens. He has one blue eye and a half blue half brown eye. He is very quiet for a husky. We never hear anything out of him unless there's something wrong. I know this is unusual, but he is very quiet. He is not your typical husky.

Story
Mama Dog gets her name from having puppies when she came into the shelter. We called her “Mama” from the second she came in, and it stuck. She answers amazingly well to this name, which is no surprise…Mama learns very fast. Her treat motivation makes her training all that much easier. We have put a lot of effort into working with her on the leash and with socialization and she has done so well with every aspect of her training. Patience, love, and treats were her motivation and has been made readily available to her at any time! If you have glanced through her photos, you can just see the changes to just her demeanor from then until now. The time and work we have put into helping her gain confidence and trust have obviously paid off for her, and she is a completely different girl than she was. She keeps a fairly clean kennel, gets along with other dogs of all sizes, and loves loves loves attention. She likes to play, squeaky toys are her favorite, and has a lot of energy but also likes to snuggle in your lap. She would be great in a home with other dogs to keep her entertained while her owners are away. A medium to high energy home would be good for her as well. Leashed hikes are a breeze with her on a harness, and she will look back for your direction along the way. Play time with a tennis ball, fetch with her favorite Kong toy, or even just an afternoon stroll through town would be perfect for her energy level. She does great meeting new people and animals, has mastered her commands and her favorite all time trick is catching toys and treats in the air! She knows she is pretty and loves to show off her delicate beauty. She has been with us for 6 months now and would excel in a home of her very own where she will be loved and cared for better than ever before. Come meet Mama today-she is more than ready for a new life adventure outside of the shelter.

Story
If you are looking for a dog with a big personality, Bindy is the one for you. She has lots of facial expressions and she knows how to use them! She loves any type of attention and is very treat motivated, making us believe that the fact she needs a little command work will be a breeze. She still has some weight to gain and is heart worm positive but has already started treatment and is doing great with her weight gain and treatment. Bindy would be great in a home with other dogs as she loves to play, and likes to be involved in activity with her people! She has already mastered the sit command and is currently working on learning more. She does amazing meeting new people and animals, and rides amazing as a passenger in a car. We are still learning about Bindy and she welcomes you to come meet her and learn about her too!
