Story
Looking to responsibly rehome my 8-year-old male Husky. He is not neutered and is not current on his shots. Due to multiple car accidents in the past two months and ongoing recovery, I'm no longer able to give him the time, exercise, and stability he deserves. He is a strong, intelligent, loyal dog who bonds closely with his person, but he is not good with other dogs or cats, so he would do best as the only pet in the home. He may be a great match for a single person or experienced dog owner who understands the Husky breed and can provide structure, patience, and daily activity. This is a very hard decision, and my priority is finding him a safe, committed home where he can thrive.

Story
Fruit Punch is a sweet, loving girl who adores human companionship and enjoys being the center of attention. She’s affectionate, gentle, and happiest when she’s spending time with her people. Fruit Punch would do best as the only pet in the home, as she needs a space with no cats or dogs where she can fully relax and thrive. In the right home, she’ll make a devoted and loving companion.

Story
Lexie is an adorable girl in need of a forever home. Lexie spent the first two years of her life in a loving home, but after her owner suffered from strokes leaving them unable to care for her, she found herself in need of a new family.  Lexie is a sweet dog who loves people and gets along with other dogs. She is a little shy at first but tries hard to please people. She is crate trained and house trained. She has not had much experience walking on a leash but with some proper encouragement we're expecting her to figure it out quickly.  Lexie would love a home with a family able to spoil her the way she deserves! Lexie is up to date on her vaccines, current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, microchipped and spayed. If you think Lexie would be an amazing fit for your family, please e-mail us at arsw@arcticrescue.com for more information and to fill out an adoption application.  You can find more of Lexie's photos here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.796818015993215&type=3March 9, 2026, 9:37 am

Story
Lila is an amazing dog. She loves all people and especially loves playing and cuddling with you. She gets along with other dogs and loves to play chase and wrestle. Lila is house trained, knows some basic obedience, and is crate trained. Lila is adventurous and would be a great fit for a family looking for a jogging or hiking buddy. She is great in the house and will settle down nicely. For more information about adopting Lila, please e-mail arsw@arcticrescue.com More about Lila: Size: ~40 lbs Health: Heartworm negative, neutered, UTD on shots, heartworm prevention, flea/tick prevention Cats and other small animals (to include small dogs): We do not test our dogs with small animals (to include cats, rabbits, birds, small dogs or livestock). We always advise caution when introducing dogs to small animals as they can have a high prey drive. If you want to adopt a dog of this breed and have small animals you should have a plan in place to keep those animals safe in the event that the animals do not get along.  Dogs: Good with other dogs  About our application process: We are not an animal shelter and only approved adopters are able to visit dogs in their foster homes. All of our volunteers work or go to school so you may not hear back from your inquiry for a couple of days. If you are searching for a dog to adopt TODAY, we suggest visiting an open animal shelter.  If you fill out an adoption application please know that we are looking to provide the best fit for your family. If you apply for a specific dog but you are not a good fit for that dog we will provide recommendations for other available dogs that may be a good fit for your family. We require references and due to Covid-19 are conducting all home visits virtually. For renters, we require written permission from your landlord that you are allowed to have a dog on the property.   March 26, 2026, 11:00 pm

Leia is almost two years old, house trained and knows how to use a doggy door. She is currently working on learning basic obedience, and is proving very smart!
